We were at our best when the whole world was against us. That went after season 2. It's just supporters turning up and expecting to win, then when we invariably don't, they moan.

Was so quiet last night I agree, had my first taste of the Q Railing upper as well on a mates ticket, (its so different up there!) However it felt like there was some constant attempts being generated from the much maligned "Block 19" and not a lot from anywhere else so how anyone can complain about them is beyond me. Stand together chant together instead of moaning about the speed of the chant as well! We are a group of fans who like to moan but its getting petty now. It was absolutely BALTIC last night as well which doesn't help! And also to agree with nottspotter, the view is fantastic but it seems to be a "no noise zone" blankets, a few cups of earl grey, get the sandwiches out and must leave on the 80th minute old chap as the wife is making tea and crumpets for when I get home. Bizarre part of the stadium when I am so used to the Boothen! This. Only Stoke fans could moan about a shit atmosphere whilst at the same time moaning about the only section of the ground that's at least trying to create some noise. Fast paced they may be at times but that block are fantastic at generating a bit of noise for the majority of most games and I don't give a shit if it's clapping or the ira song or whatever it's better than sitting with your hands in your pockets blaming every bugger else. Carry on B19 !!

Yep it was truly wank last night. Even the goal celebrations were shit. Not even the faintest whisper of any kind of mental and lasted about 2 seconds.

I blame cold weather as people were wearing gloves or had their hands in their pockest or around a cup of Bovril so clapping was muted. Actually it was quiet even during 'We,ll be with you' and player announcement.

Always said it, fast tempo, pressing, comitted (but fair) tackling gets this crowd going. Slow posession based football as well as its doung for us, will not How interesting, there's a manager not too far away that (likes to think he) sets up his teams to play that way, what a remarkable co-incidence, perhaps we should go get him? Unfortunately during a lot of the games he's involved in the crowd are far more interesting than what's happening on the pitch...

Slow football will slow down the crowd, this crowd more so after being fuelled on a style of energetic 'assertive' football for a decade. Not saying i like pulis' brand of football but he made players battle & look hungry which imo receives a positive response from the crowd. Its no coincidence the crowd ate up for it in games against the bigger clubs more so than the lesser clubs these days as the football against the bigger clubs is a faster & deliberate pace ( fast paced counter)

Now we're respected & lesser clubs sit back its as if the players have to much time to think on the ball

It's also no coincidence we play better against the bigger clubs either, we dont raise our game but they play into our strengths. Against lesser teams we should be forcing the issue imo, closing down quicker, forcing mistakes & being first to second balls

I sat in the q-railing upper tonight. Block 9.. Against the wall.. So think that muted the little sound there was. I normally sit in the boothen but couldn't get tickets. What is it about the Q-Railing that means nobody there wants to make any noise at all? It's like sitting in the Royal bloody box One sits in the upper tier. I admit not much singing but i do enjoy a ruddy good clap now and then old boy

We need a good driving midfielder ploughing through the opposition to get the fans excited!

In later years it was generally as flat as a witches tit and everybody (where we sit at least) looked bored shitless. Perhaps if the crowd were more up for it the players would be more inspired as well?

We need a good driving midfielder ploughing through the opposition to get the fans excited! Bojan should be the man but last night he picks the ball up and runs sideways, why? We have great performances when he takes the direct route into the box, gets an opening or a penalty shout.

Thought in the past of having a upper tier band in the corner next to boothen. Only problem is i cant play any instrument although my good friend Trevor plays the organ with father david at his local church now and then

It took Norwich 8 minutes last night before the predictable "where's you're famous atmosphere" and then numerous chants of "we'll sing on our own" and "is this a library".Thought last night was the worst it's been for a very long time and I can think of occasions in league 2 with 7/8000 in the ground when it was far noisier.

Kids are the future and all that, but the increased number of kids doesn't half kill any atmosphere. Hit the nail on the head there fella, the next 2 generations of Potters are in our ranks. Unfortunately, the adults with the kids are a bit too prim and proper to let rip and involve the kids in the singing - the bad language doesn't help.

Being the underdog is when the crowd is at its best. If we have a shit ref who gives daft fouls against us then it raises the tempo. I like what Hughes is trying to do, but it's rarely exciting stuff to get the crowd on its feet. 20 intricate passes at the back when you're winning 3-1 is fine, but when we're drawing or losing then it's a tad boring and you won't get much response from the fans other than someboy shouting... "Get the fucking ball foward!!!" We have to learn to be 'proper' Premiership fans and stop moaning when we play 'attractive' football. OS.
