Whatever happened to our centre backs – in fact, any of our defenders – scoring goals? (Especially as our 'attackers' aren't doing too well at it.)

Ryan in particular very guilty over previous months of missing numerous opportunitys in the air. That' obvious headed pass to Walter's was just another incident... Seems no defenders can get a head on the ball in the opponent's box. Weird.

the only team in the pre not to have scored from a corner!! So fucking what? Would you rather be bottom three having scored from a corner? It was only a few weeks ago we had people crying about us being the joint lowest scorers in the Prem! Shut up and enjoy the ride you handbag! H

Not a massive concern of mine, but Ryan seems for the past few seasons to have completely lost his heading ability. Used to be pretty dangerous in the air and now squanders every half chance.

While I take the point from other posters that we shouldn't be complaining while the team is doing so well, I can't help but think that the few goals here and there that defenders pop up with can be the difference between us being in 7th and us being top 4. I suppose Huth's late goal tonight illustrates the point.

They would have worked at set pieces under the capped one where as with Hughes they don't they play with the ball on the floor during training

Personally don't care where the goals come from as long as they come from somewhere.

Ryan in particular very guilty over previous months of missing numerous opportunitys in the air. I love Ryan but he's seriously pissing me off on corners and free kicks. Today was no different. His first half header, where he could have laid Walters in was a perfect example of that. I'd fine him a weeks wages for shit like that. I really would...and I'd also ban him from going up for corners and free kicks in the future because he's more hindrance than help. That said, he did nearly score a volley reminiscent of his debut goal v Cardiff all those years ago.

Seems obvious to set aside a couple of hours a week practising dead ball situations. Once again there was no movement at throw ins. Johnson fowl throw ffs. Set pieces, corners etc are a vital aspect of the game, it's criminal to ignore them. The OG column has more in it than goals from our defenders this season. Poor.

When did we last score from a corner.
Is it true we have the worst record of all the professional clubs in England?
