Our lineup may well depend on whether we have reached Wembley earlier in the week. If so, expect the reserves again. If not, there will probably be a sprinkling of the big hitters.

Hate to enter into battle with many of you! Too much shit in your pants! They will be saying the same things about their draw. Its the draw we've got! Now lets prepare for it. They're finding it difficult to score goal so I hear so no reason why we can't defeat them!

In an objective sense the facilities - toilets, seats, view, catering etc are not good. But for me that is more than compensated for by it being a ground which has some distinctive character, as all of the old grounds have because they are all unique and different. The 'new' grounds might have better loos, more catering outlets selling very overpriced food and no posts in the way but for me they are all too similar. And I like grounds which are in residential areas, not surrounded by car salesrooms as ours is. I also think their fans give it some atmosphere - arguably the loudest home fans in the PL (although I suspect Leicester are matching them on that at the moment). The big downside of Palace for me is the location if you are travelling by road.

My mate works at Selhurst Park and he reckons he's already seen the match and we win 2-0.
Tracey Ullman performs "they don't know about us" at half time - ironic really, because we did.

Shit draw.
Nothing positive about it at all.
No doubt we'll quietly leave the party 1-0 with a half angry half loon Pardew jumping up and down the touchline like a crazed baboon.
Next.

The big downside of Palace for me is the location if you are travelling by road. I generally agree with that Malcolm, I prefer the old grounds to the new, a less good view and the occasional stanchion in the way is a price worth paying for a ground where you can quite literally feel the history...Goodison Park, Upton Park and White Hart Lane spring to mind. But I make an exception for Selhurst Park. I just don't feel any history, it's a weird mix of new'ish and not very old and nothing quite fits together. That reclaimed terrace with seats screwed in to it at the end of that side they stick us in just sums it up for me. The way the seats are organised effectively splits our support in to smaller groupings, I have never known us get any real atmosphere going there. Any noise we are able to make over and above the big base drum just floats off in to the ether. It's a real stinker of a ground.

Winnable.
I'd rather play them away where they'll be more vulnerable to our counterattack.

We're still in both cups, an historic double is on, delusional, maybe, but we are a very good side away from home. In years gone by our interest in both cups was over by now. Lets enjoy it while it lasts, whoever we come up against. We are more than capable of beating anybody these days with the squad that we have. I do'nt think we've ever had it so good!

I see the Stokie in the studio was Wokingham Potter off this board. Went to Valencia with him and others. Missed the draw! You were there then Cris, come on spill the beans matey! Horrible draw for me, that ground really is a bit scummy to say the least and the plastic drum banging 'ultras' do your head in ;-)

It's certainly no dream draw but Palarse away is much more appealing than getting the deckers at home. No qualms whatsoever with the draw. We know what we have to do, just like at Anfield soon.

McAfee WebAdvisor Warning: Trouble ahead Whoa! Are you sure you want to go there? goatd.net/39088/watch-bbc-1 may be risky to visit. Why are you seeing this? When we visited this site, we found it exhibited one or more risky behaviors. Accept the Risk Back install adblock on your browser mate, I've used that site for eons It is already installed, the message was from McAfee internet security which I also have, and it was warning me of a dodgy site!

You realise it's in the best interest of McAffe to scare the shit out of you to justify paying for that service. I run FREE Spybot Search and Destroy (for malware) alongside FREE AVG anti virus and my machine runs mint. The back-end code on those sites is what Mcaffee doesn't like mate, certificates and all that shit. Maybe an IT pro could back me up here, but I don't think there is that much to worry about. The Sentinel is probably worse for tracking and cookies etc.

Schedule Windows to Run (through task manager) a malware scan and an Anti Virus scan once a day with many of the free programs out there. I think paying for "live web monitoring" is a waste of money personally. IF that site tried to install malware or do anything untoward your ANTI virus would have caught it anyway. Look at that Mcaffe warning as just that, it's like a road sign "steep hill ahead" or whatever.

Can you ask him if the draw was live or recorded? I'll send him a message but it will take him an hour or so to get home. Of course, he may not know the answer - it will have been live to him but unless he looked at his watch he would not know if there was a transmission delay. He says it WAS live after two rehersals. He's asked for a link to this thread so he may appear on here to take your applause!

Which suggests that the poster on here who announced he had a friend working on the one show who told him we were playing Palace before the draw was shown "live" is an attention seeking liar who got lucky does it not? I see the Stokie in the studio was Wokingham Potter off this board. Went to Valencia with him and others. Can you ask him if the draw was live or recorded? The draw was made live. It was freezing out there and if interested there were two rehearsals with Mark Chapman running it and we were drawn against Derby twice away from home! Hope that satisfies!
