Unfortunately tonight's home crowd showed all the signs of becoming arsenal wannabees. We have won nothing yet people predicted 3-0 4-0.....
Summed up for me with shaqs corner on 83 minutes by the Boothen. Let's all stand lean across pointing and shouting come on you reds....come on you reds....
Oh hang on, no instead let's just stand in silence and see what happens... it's not as if this match is one of the most important in our entire history or anything is it.
The truth hurts doesn't it.
Pathetic just pathetic. ..bear pit...bore pit !!!!

JCL's
Some said 0-0 some said 1-0 some said 1-1 and dare say it some didn't even want to predict a bad night and 0-1.
Knicker wetters and JCLs' said 3-0, 4-0. Insane and deluded.

The fucking throbber (who I've never seen before) who sat next to me spent most the match calling Bojan a wanker and he should be fucked off.

The atmosphere in the build up to the game tonight was excellent. buzzing round the ground, big queues outside the turnstiles - then the game kicked off! They were straight at us, giving us no time in the ball. For the first 15 minutes we looked lethargic and half arsed with short passes and getting caught in possession. They made us look very poor first half.

Giving the ball away in the first min didn't help, I'm of the opinion that we should be making noise regardless but that kind of start puts a dampener on things, add to that people that have only come for the one game and probably won't go again it's always going to be difficult to get the crowd going.

Bojan's ace - but he was crap tonight. (He was better than Pieters though).

They're as disappointed and frustrated as everyone else but they focus their ire on the supporters. Come on mate, the fans tried tonight but the team played so poorly that it just sucked the life and belief out of everyone. We have a really good support and we can't blame them for what happened tonight. The team just didn't play to the great standards they've set for themselves and that's the truth that hurts the most. Just my £0.02 worth.

Was the worst atmosphere I have ever known at the brit....and this was a league cup semi final!! Unfortunately the proper fans are spread out among the post 2008 premiership *****, the ones who would fuck off as soon as we got relegated..truth does hurt!!!!

Liverpool were outstanding off the ball for the entire match.

Thought the crowd were well up for it tonight. Later kick off an extra pint each Unfortunately it just didn't happen on the pitch. Given how we played I thought the crowd got behind the team well enough
Shit happens and we aren't going to put on the Man City:/ Manure performance every week
It's only half time , they're not better team than us and we still have a good shout

Anyone caught booing tonight wants a good twatting and banning for life.

Chad, i fear that if you thought our support were well up for it and we got behind the team well enough then 1. You weren't actually there or 2. You are totally delusional!!

The atmosphere was great prior to kick off. They were so quick closing us down that we looked half arsed and slow/tired. It was the home leg of a cup semi final and crying out for one of those fast tempo starts that Sparky was banging on about last week. He's doing a great job, but he missed a couple of big tricks in the last couple of games. The players are to blame for the atmosphere tonight.

Under the previous regime we were told how lucky our team was to be on the same pitch as such opposition. As such no real belief led to unbelievable tribalism. The thought that we now not only deserve to be on the same pitch, but genuinely could win, led to crushing disappointment, as it unraveled from minute 1.its a cliche about the home crowd being silenced, but cliches thrive for a reason......sometimes they are proved right. The lack of atmosphere was caused by the opposition dominating, our team dreadfully underperperforming and a massive puncture in something called belief...not complacency. When that's gone you are left with hope and the team didn't look like that hope would be rewarded. Indie with Johnny Walters miss at the death it was as much resignation as disappointment.

Not sure about everyone else but there were a lot of new faces around me in block 21 Boothen End, and generally the crowd was lacking it's usual fervour for a big game. Real proof was half time when you could just stroll up to the bar for some alcohol - maybe that's where we were lacking !!

Where's our famous atmosphere? The tone was set from the very first minute. We were very slow out of the blocks and sloppy. To be honest the game for us never got going. The overwhelming feeling was of frustration and disappointment and that's never coincident to a good atmosphere.
