I emailed the club and was advised that flasks were not encouraged after the Paris attacks - liquids etc. However, take a look around at half time and you'll see quite a few people wth them, so I guess if you are "discreet" you're OK.

Can this be raised at the next Fans Forum meeting? Judging by recent meeting minutes this may be a bit on the controversial side! I mean, they are currently in deep discussion about the tannoy volume being too high for Ilford Dave's liking! Lets not pile big issue on big issue!

it's only coffee, I taken one before last winter in my bag, had bag searched no problems taking it in. I just heard that there was some sort of restriction on the size of flask you could take.

I had a vale fan at work ask me what my flask was and what it did. I said it keeps hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold. Thats brilliant he said I'm getting one of those - the following week I saw him with one so I said what have you got in that then?
Orange squash and bovril he replied!

I've taken them in,on three occasions since,in spite of being frisked. Had mine in inside pocket and they only run their hands down your sides. I was surprised to get it in to be honest.

i always take my flask in. We go in the ground at turnstile 18 and it tends to be the same stewards. Never had any bother at all

A large orange with vodka injected into it is a great way of taking 'voddy & orange' into the ground with no hassle whatsoever. Wouldn't recommend the same theory with tea/coffee/Bovril or hot chocolate !!!!

Just as we all do all the time the stewards will do an instant risk assessment on everyone - 2 little old ladies with a flask of tea, no risk to anyone
Some young men who look a bit out of place - more thorough search

I guess it depends on what you can hide in your person and get away with. Once saw a guy sneak a hip flask in, smelt like brandy to me and he wasn't shy about swigging from it.

So if my tipple is (for instance) cider and blackcurrant, all I need do is inject a couple of blackcurrents with pints of cider and I'm sorted! Excellent
