I did warn you about the white panel looks slightly better with name and number than when I saw it plain but can't believe so many people like it, specially with the bad reaction the red back got. The away kit looks brilliant, the macron men on the shoulders are bad though.

Thought that myself, hopefully it is a simple enough explanation regarding Butland and that we were filming these when he was in hospital with his ankle Hopefully I would have thought they didnt fancy the supportive shoe that he has to wear in the shot NHS boot deal will be announced next week following kit reveal ???

Ultimately whatever your thoughts on the white panel it's not Macron's fault it would have been a request from the club. I think they've done a very good job in the main, be interesting to see what all the leisure wear looks like....

Looks nice, but I'm not convinced by the blue flash on the collar and " THE WHITE PANEL WILL LOOK SHITE WITH NO NAME AND NUMBER FOR THOSE FANS THAT DONT BOTHER TO HAVE THAT DONE" . Away kit looks class to be fair. Possibly our best since the days of the Asics purple and white kit 20 odd years ago. Looks like we didn't have a choice with the white panel due to new rules Sunderland don't have one on their kit. good point ! Also a good marketing ploy as a lot of people will feel "encouraged" to get at least a number to fill the panel up a bit $£

So the stripes on the back had to go then?
I don't actually think the white panel looks too bad. Although, it probably won't look great if you don't have a player's name and number on the back.

Think I'll stick to the away top next season. I know it's not Macron's fault about the panel but I just hate it, shame really because I like the front.

If new rules don't allow us to have stripes on the back, I hope this is the only shirt we will have with a panel. It will be much better to go for shirts like the FA cup final shrt. I will never wear a shirt with a panel and some stripes on the back.
I liked the front of it, but from the back it was ugly without name an number.

Where are people getting their info from about a new rule with names and numbers having to be in a solid panel?

UEFA state that you have to have a panel on the back for striped shirts, maybe we thought we'd be in Europe when it was designed?

Where are people getting their info from about a new rule with names and numbers having to be in a solid panel? Says on the Stoke website. "As the Premier League are looking to introduce a rule to enforce squad number visibility to complement UEFA’s rules for clubs playing in European competition, we have incorporated a white panel on the reverse of the shirt. However, we have retained our red and white stripe DNA on part of the back and incorporated red letters and numbers to complement the shirt" Read more at www.stokecityfc.com/news/article/cut-from-a-different-cloth-3097699.aspx#pwPqomf81zt7Lp2G.99

Two great kits there.
I was expecting a little more from the away to be honest, but I do like it.

Looks nice, but I'm not convinced by the blue flash on the collar and the white panel will look shite with no name and number in it for those fans that don't bother to have that done. Away kit looks class to be fair. Possibly our best since the days of the Asics purple and white kit 20 odd years ago. Looks like we didn't have a choice with the white panel due to new rules Sunderland don't have one on their kit. Sunderland will either struggle to get into Europe next year or need to win a cup because they will be relegated this season. Taking the positive stance. We have signed a 5 year deal with Macron. In those years the club have made no secret in their desires to get into Europe. Therefore the panel has go been done now, that way their second strip will have synergy and won't be seen as an issue for our ,,European Tour Year!

Really impressed with the strips as well as the zip up jackets. The white panel on the home shirt looks ok and if nothing else is a change that still keeps white and red colour scheme. Love the red and white detailing under the collar, very classy. Away shirt is the best we've had by the looks of it

I think the home kit looks great,
The away kit however, wow. It would be good if we could wear it Saturday.
I hope it's not the only time we get to see Arnie in it however.
How fit are the stoke ladies btw

Love both the kits.
..or at least I did until discovered that God-forsaken panel
It's the only deal-breaker I have, and it completely destroys the whole feel of the kit.
