I'm not sure how to extrapolate fact from myth. Could I differentiate instead?

CD , Yeah, that is of course possible, but perhaps that's now the norm for managing the big clubs where big ego's rule, whether it be the chairman or the players. It's hard judge where the blame lies, I think in one of your posts you talked about shades of grey which are, of course, multitudinous. Take away our prejudices, conjecture and our inability to sometimes extrapolate (and I mean all of us) fact from myth we live in a world which is driven by an "instant answer or response" . Mourinho was never as good or as bad as any of would like, he's part of the game. He is Pav, but from what we've seen, and we get much more of a window into how the big clubs operate, it seems a lot more cut and dried. He lost the respect of his players, and his style of management and style of football requires the undying devotion of players straining every sinew from the first to the last. His football can't work without that unswerving devotion.

It gave me something do for five minutes I know quite a few Chelsea fans, not one of them wanted Mourinho to be sacked as they know there aren't many better managers out there. It's one hell of a fall from grace after winning the title last season but it seems he lost the respect of his squad and one that is gone your time as a manager is always up. But no sympathy from me, the man is a classless c*nt and I'm glad to see the back of him.

Moyes is the one I always see as a rich man's Pulis.

For the flair players he has if he'd given them more licence to express themselves instead of doing everything tight it might have been a different season for him. Similarly, if he'd firmly instructed Costa to focus on playing football, (which he's good at) instead of starting every game intent on picking fights with opponents it would have been better.

I'm hoping he gets a shout from the shit now so he can further their demise too ! Why would anyone give this man a 4 year contract when he is proven to last 2/3 years at a club at most ? Probably only Abramovich , who can spunk 30m+ of his ill-gotten wealth on what he wants too. Please Glaz(i)ers take the self-proclaimed " special needs one " for your next manager , so he can smash your club to pieces too !

There was that aspect as well but they have put up with his crap for a long time so long as he was winning titles

John G No European experience? Plenty as a player and he made it to the Quarter Finals of the UEFA Cup with Man City in 2009, Round of 32 with Blackburn in 2007, and the qualifying rounds with Blackburn again in the following season.
