Can any of you techies solve this problem for me please? When I try to access www.scfcdirect.com/ I get this message on my Firefox browser. I've also tried Internet Explorer and get the same message. It even happens when I try to link directly from the club's website. You have asked Firefox to connect securely to www.scfcdirect.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.
Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified. What Should I Do?
If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue. Thanks in advance. OS.

Just continue you'll be orate Famous last words. LOL. But surely SCFCdirect.com DOES have a trusted certificate? Doesn't it? (Where's Forny when you need him. He's well in with SCFC stuff.) OS.

Have you been on some dodgy Chinese art films site Mick? LOL. I haven't, but the grandkids use this 'putor when they're here so perhaps I should set the parental controls to high. No telling what the buggers get up to these days. (I'll check to see if they've downloaded the Chinese language thing somewhere.) M.

OS -check the date and time that your computer is set to. First thing I did, d. Nope, everything ok there. If some people can get online no probs then it either must be my server (Virgin) or the settings on my putor/security. OS.

You've got loads more probs to come then c. My g/kids are 13, two 14 year olds, a 15 yo and a 17 yo - ages when you need to keep a subtle beady eye on them. All they want for Xmas is phones and and laptops. Whatever happened to snakes and ladders and Ludo?! M.

Look at the address in your browser, it should be a secure connection. You can tell by seeing this https:// instead of http:// the 's' means a secure socket layer and the data is encrypted. In which case don't worry I got no warning too so have a read of this. support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/connection-untrusted-error-message

Just going to bump this back up with another SCFCDirect problem.
I can login fine and get to the screen where you choose seats for a particular match but whenever I click on a seat, the details appear under the persons name for 2 seconds and then disappear again so I can't actually buy tickets unless I use 'quick seats' which is crap. It's the same for home and away games. I'm using fully updated Firefox with the latest flash plugin.
Does this happen to anyone else?
Cheers.

It's an https showing (https://www.scfcdirect.com/ ) so it should be secure. Read that link you posted and I'll spend a bit more time later to study it properly. OS.

It seems that it's pot luck. My lady got me a couple of tickets the other day fine, then only minutes after she went to try again for the sake of using the 'view from your seat' sort of thing and the problem you're having occurred. It's typical of anything Stoke City related that isn't taking place on the pitch.

This can be caused by malware on your PC.....
It is possible for you to have a secure connection to a spoof live copy of scfc direct ....... But ofcourse the certificate would fail.
Something nasty that hijacks your DNS settings and the point of it is to look for username, passwords,Card details by placing a middle man between you and the real site
With a certificate failure don't enter anything you'd rather not share ????
Not saying it 100% is this, but certainly could be and is worth scanning for with more than a bog standard virus checker............ Video installers on "free" football streaming sites are rife with nasties.

Video installers on "free" football streaming sites are rife with nasties. Thanks for your input niel. You are right about malware, but having used 'putors for many years I'm au fait with those kind of problems. I've done a boot time scan with my Avast Pro version and also a full scan with Malwarebytes. Nothing nasty on my pc. No, this is definitely my browsers or anti-virus causing the problem if the fault is not with the SCFC website certificate. One thing I read from the link above is that diferent sections of a website can show up differences in certificates. I've already done as you advised and not proceeded past the warning. I also use an Avast Safe Zone browser to access my bank accounts etc. I only live a couple of miles from the ground so in my case it's not a problem I'm too bothered with. However, there are others affacted by this and they may not be in the same situation I am. But that is good advice mate. OS.

Dns hijacks? Man in the middle attacks? Scfc web team have probably forgot to renew their SSL certificate. Stop panicking.
Malware? behave.

I've been living abroad for the last 5 years so I've only needed it once or twice a year when getting tickets for Xmas games while I'm back. Pretty sure it worked 3 years ago but every year since then, nothing. Only way round it has been to get someone else to order for me which I hate doing. For Everton away on Boxing Day last year I had no choice but to use 'quick seats' and ended up with restricted view behind a pillar. Both websites (official site and SCFCDirect) are total shite.
