Joselu couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat Showing the same wonderful patience that many people extended to Wooly.

You could have the best striker in the world but if you collectively as a team do not shoot at the goal more than average your not going to score. We've got to have the fewest shots on tgt in the league or close to it. We just don't shoot from every position when it presents itself. We also don't put the ball in the box in dangerous areas from corners or free kicks for the defence to deal with. We like to do the stupidest new fad, pass it to an open man near the corner flag to lose the advantage of a pinned back defence for him to lose possession and the ball more times than I've ever seen in the top league...
For all it's plaudits this new style of ball we play is great to watch but also the most frustratingly over complicated thing you'll ever see. We at times try to will the ball into the net or pass it in like a drill and it's a problem, along with our finishing from 1 on 1's. We could of have 4 goals last game. It'll come good but just doing the basics right when they need to be will help us score more. At times we try to reinvent the wheel. It's football, kick it in the net and curl the ball into the box from a set-piece... It's not rocket science.

Last season he scored a goal every 3 games. If you think we can be expecting much more than that from our main striker I don't really think you're in touch with the reality of the league. That's about 13 goals in 38 games (give or take) which is not far off the magical 15 a season if you include 2 or 3 from cups. What's everyone expecting - Ronaldo or Suarez? Also we don't make enough chances so it will be slim pickings till start creating chances like we did against Man City. 4 or 5 other players need to chip as well with 10-12 each and we'll be fine. We also need 10-15 a season from set pieces. I am sure Sparky hasn't figured this out and neither have the players lol Again though, "4 or 5 players" getting 10+ a season is just dreaming. 10 or 12 is about what we can expect from our best goalscorer in the league, not six different players! Have we ever had a season where two players have made double figures?

I'd let crouch and wingie go Charlie Austin would be a most welcome addition up front Would love to sign Austin. I think both of those still have a part to play.

Shooting boots required. Couldn't agree more about set pieces, especially corners.
