Much rather watch Eastleigh V Bolton, the cup is about giving smaller clubs much needed extra financial help. And i'm not on about Eastleigh either.

It's the law isn't it. Or written into the FA's constitution or something.

It's simple, they have the most glory hunters so viewing figures will be higher.

The only way they won't be shown is if audience figures are poor.
So, not that I imagine much encouragement is needed, don't watch it!

I wont watch it that's for sure. I do realise for broadcasting companies its about viewing figures and advertising revenues. Its just such a shame that lower league sides who battle their way through to the more high profile rounds can't get some financial reward. Just rich clubs getting richer.

Shock Horror.... The biggest club in the country on the TV.

Utter horse shit. Surely this is one of the least attractive ties involving a premier league club. Ties that should be shown before this non-event:
Non-league at home: Eastliegh v Bolton
All prem: Norwich v Man City Soton v Palace Watford v Newcastle Arse v Sunderland
Prem away to potential banana skin: B'ham v B'mouth Oxford v Swansea Donny v Stoke
that's 8 matches that should be on before the shit. Would be great if neutrals would boycott this.

It's all about appeasing their hordes of glory hunting wankers. The Beeb could have put some much needed cash in Bolton & Eastleigh's coffers but as usual, it has stuck to it's principals and gone for the less moralistic option.

Shock Horror.... The biggest club in the country on the TV. The 'shock horror' as you put it is not that the biggest club is on tv its the staggering stat that every fa cup game they have played since god was a boy has been televised even if the game is pretty uninspiring.

Why not show it on MUTV, and let the glory hunting wankers pay for it?

Anybody who doesn't get this is living in cuckoo land.
TV company executives survive on viewing figures.
Youve got a team with the biggest fan base in the Premiership versus a team with the biggest fan base in League 1. Plus the bonus of a potential cup upset.
mmmmmmmm. I wonder why they chose this and not Doncaster v Stoke?????
Its not my idea of entertainment but neither is Eastenders or Strictly Come Dancing. I prefer to see Eastleigh v Bolton. I'm called a minority.

Isn't BBC 5 live also a subsidiary of MUTV seeing as virtually every manure home game is on the radio.

They may the biggest club with the mostest morons following them, on the other foot they are also the most hated, with virtually every fan of the other squillion teams in England detesting them. 300 million fans worldwide = an awful lot haters

I'm not saying that I agree with the decision, just that I don't see why folk are so appalled and outraged by it when it's pretty obvious why they are on telly more than other teams. I would imagine Liverpools games are televised fairly regularly yes.

Commercial TV companies have some sort of excuse for this sort of nonsense but sadly the BBC have also played their part in the disgraceful situation.

I'm pretty sure this was settled in the Council of Constantinople in 360 ad, though I might be wrong
