I know that season tickets do really well but I believe that some additional season tickets could be sold if the club could offer the remaining season tickets in pairs. Most of the available seats are singles but most people want to go to the match with a mate.
Would you be unhappy if the club moved you over a seat so that 2 seats together could be made available?

I would be well pissed off as I've had my same seat since we moved to the Brit.
Why should I move so some new "glory hunters" can sit together now we are in the Premier League?
Where were you when we were in the old Division 3?
I think you opened a can of worms that is best kept shut.

No mate just stating a fact why should longstanding loyal fans move for some so called "new fans" who want to sit together?
If they were that bothered about watching the team they have had plenty of opportunity to buy season tickets?

I was a season ticket holder intermittently throughout the wilderness years of the Icelandic years having spent large amounts finally couldnt afford to continue and left my seat. After purchasing a season ticket when the cup final offer was on i moved into a seat in the boothen end knowing nobody around me, now iam part of a group of 10/12 people who are unit on match days sing laugh berate whatevers needed when a seat opened i moved my teenage son into this group which he is now part of. One seat anywhere in the ground is enough to begin with you dont need someone to hold your hand we are all stoke fans and we are on whole a family if you need room to hold your mates hand theres plenty of room down the road in burslem if the bigger boys scare you

It's not a bit of plastic. It's a place you sit and have your own view and perspective on the game. Your own piece of sanctuary every couple of weeks after a hard week in work A place where you say hi to the same faces who you never see outside the game. A place where you celebrate and get pissed off with the same faces. More than a piece of plastic

Moving one seat right or left is neither here nor there, the same faces will still be around and if it means the club sells more seats then so be it.

In the old days on the boothen after an epic mental you were never in the same place for the rest of the match how would these new fans have coped then without their prawn sandwich and their good friend Tarquin as they dissapeared into the darkening maw of the boothen end. For christs sake if you want go the match go the match if you have to wait till half time to see your bff or even full time so be it you'll make new friends and still enjoy the experience.

I used to have a season ticket for quite a few years but had to give it up due to working weekends so I go to games when I can. If my circumstances changed which meant I could get a season ticket again next season would that make me a "new fan" or "glory hunter"? You can't really slag people off until you know the reasons why they do or don't go to games (imo)

It is becoming a bit of a problem, I've had my seat with my old man for the last 10 years or so, and to me, it's the best view in the stadium. I've got 2 little uns who I'll want to start taking to the match in a couple of years, but I don't want to move to the family stand and unless we get relegated there's not a hope in hell of 2 seats coming up anywhere near me!
Will those 2 new fans be accepted Amo? ;-)

Does the club want to sell a few more season tickets at all?
At the moment we can fill near enough all the seats with folks paying the full 'pay-as-you-go price'. Replace those people with the bargain hunter cheap as chips season ticket brigade and we would make less money.

I suppose you and your old man just have to suck it up and move to the family stand? Probably better for the kids having other kids around them. With a bit of luck they'll grow up seeing the same faces and building the anonymous relationships to keep the support strong in the future. Let's face it, when you take the kids, it's as much about watching them getting into it as it is the game. My daughter was at the Boxing Day Liverpool game with me, the day it all clicked and she understood the buzz. She got home and chewed her grandads ear off which was a pisser cause he's Vale

Who knows, at some point it just might be YOU who wants to take a new addition to the family to the Brit.

If the club or another fan asked if I'd move or swap my seat, then I would, so long asit was going to be in an equally, or better position. Sitting together is not always side by side. Also if there were to be an inducement thrown in, then I'm sure there would be a few more takers

I've been going with my mate for 45 years , we sit together but he talks to " unknown friends " to his left and I talk to the bloke on my right who is by himself. We go for a beer before and after the game so we don't need ( or particularly want ) to talk much at the game , we do that in the pub ! The match is a good time to talk with other Stokies around you imo
