Doesn't matter what we make of him this season, he's first name on floppy chops team sheet with a capital C next to it.

It is up to Van Gaal whether he plays for Man Utd but based on his England performances for the last few years he has struggled desperately and is not the player that he was in his youth. I will wait to see if the statement starting this thread has any truth to it but Hodgson needs to grow some and get to grips with what is England's best team which should at least have Shawcross in the top 24 players.

I see that Red Issue have taken the article down accusing Rooney of being pissed up. Cease and desist me thinks.
Is having alcohol in your bloodstream an issue from a rule related perspective or just disrespect to the club?
Rooney's been on the way down for a long long time tbh. He's lost all his pace (and he was only reasonably quick when he was younger) and has lost that aggressive edge he once had. He seems to have turned into this miserable little baby who enjoys taking a dive when shit isn't going his way.
He's now the wrong side of 30. He should have taken Ferguson's advice and become a central midfielder when his legs started to go. He has an excellent passing range. He's too selfish and arrogant though, so he continues to persevere as a useless and ineffective striker.
