Nice guy. Most people are saying dump him. but who knows what he brings to the squad, how much use he is in training, behind the scenes, and what he might bring post-playing career. In these foul times of footballers acting like arse-sniffing dogs and generally behaving like overpaid scum, it's so refreshing to see a group of sown to earth professional people that seem to enjoy, and appreciate it, here. No matter how much they earn, they seem to have little ego and genuine camaraderie, in it for each other and MH, not just the money. N'Zonzi and his looming court case isn't the fit for this club, and I'm pleased that he got moved on.

Apparently Phil Bardsley is one of the biggest jokers in the dressing room.
I imagine Steve Sidwell to be a bit dour

Bet Wollscheid's a hoot too, with his famous German sense of humour

Not surprised by Wingie's words. Every player joined in with the celebrations after Bardsley's goal in the recent cup game. The second goal in a comfortable win against a team from a lower division, from a squad player who's a mile away from the first team and the celebrations wouldn't have looked out of place if it had been a last minute winner in the cup final.Great signs.

I'd imagine Stoke City being a fantastic club to play for as we look after our own here. We do tend to pick up players with quality & pedigree but have hit hard times in their career for various reasons. We give them a cuddle and a nice environment but but also purpose in an ambitious football club. It must be every footballers dream to be somewhere like a club such as ours. Odem is a nice guy and he deserves to be looked after & that's what we'll do.

That surprised me and my respect for Bardsley went up a few notches. It's a squad game when you get upper mid table and take 1-2 cup campaigns seriously.
