Hi Ange/Russ,
Well what a great time to be a stokie at the minute....
Firstly Sheffield Wednesday, never seen a more one sided fixture, never seen an opposition who made absolutely no attempt to close down our defence, never looked like they wanted to score or get anything out of it. The team put in a very proffesional performance to win and ensured they didn't get injured by not going gungho without reason hence the quite modest scoreline.
The cup draw for me was a bit of a downer as i really think had we drawn man city we would be going to Wembley (this was pre this weekends result). Liverpool are in a time of recovery so not the ideal team to play but if we do beat them over two legs we really deserve to then go on to win it.
Finally yesterdays game.... Quite honestly the best ever performance i have seen from stoke considering the strength of the opposition. I pointed out at the match to those around me of how man city remind me of the old real madrid, a squad full of individuals but not a united team, a prime example of no matter how much miney you throw, if the DNA isn't right and they dont fight for eachother it makes no difference. This is where we really shine, everyone fighting for the cause and this boads well for 2016 for what could the best ever season.
Im sure we will speak beforehand but i wish you both a great christmas and also my condolences to Russ on the passing of a loved one.
Regards Michael Stockley

Still glowing after our wonderful performance yesterday, it was THAT good. A few points to make Transfer Window - worried that clubs will be sniffing after our best players, more so than ever, probably the one we need to keep hold of more than another other player is Shawcross. Also, playing devils advocate, have the likes of Shaqiri & Affelay upped their games in recent weeks to put themselves in the shop window? Geoff Cameron / Whelan - thought they were immenses yesterday (although everyone had great games) - surely need to be given more opportunities to play together - could Geoffrey be the player to solve the N'Zonzi gap? Player Songs - Desperately need to share the love around and Eric certainly deserves to get some adulation. Match day security - or not, when it came to my mates turn to be 'frisked' the steward said he was knackered and just waved my mate through. Matchday road control - Seems like they have different plans in place every week, Tuesday nights planning was woeful, lot's of irate people got caught up in the chaos needlessly. Mark Hughes - How lucky are we to have him and his team at this club, just wonderful times. League Cup - Having just seen Newcastle put two past Liverpool, we really need to try and take the tie away from them in the first leg.

The match day security was a big issue in my opinion. The searching of people to protect is 100% justified but if this is the case the ground needs to be opened earlier or have more than 1 person managing two lines. There were thousands outside the ground post kick-off and no doubt a huge amount missed the first goal, i luckily got in 2/3 minutes before the goal.

Hi everyone. A great week to be a Stoke fan. Good win against Wednesday, and a draw that should mean a couple of good games against the scousers in the new year. Then a terrific win yesterday in what was a superb performance all round for Stoke. If we could be more consistent and eliminate the Watford and Sunderland type performances we would be up there with Leicester. It will be interesting to see how the next couple of games will go against West Ham and Palace.

Top class performance from the lads. shows what we can do when we all click. If it wasn't for Man cities luck that could of easily been a thrashing and a deservedly one to. We looked the champions league team not them for all the millions they have spent

Fantastic performance and result yesterday.
All we need to do now is become more consistent (easier said than done obviously) and we could really achieve great things, and trophies and European football could well become a regular occurrence.

Cracking performance yesterday, If we could pull out a 20 million pound signing, preferably a top notch Central midfielder we could be bound for top 6

The praise I've heard / read about stoke since the match is probably the best I've ever heard in my whole life...comments like "I wish man united could play like stoke" and "that's the best 45 minutes from Amy premier league Side this season" etc...... Everyone was gobsmacked! I'm just so proud! What a turn around from sunderland - a great cup win and then yesterday!!!! Wow!

What a wonderful game. Every one of the starting 11 deserves a 9 or 10 out of 10. And suddenly Shaqiri looks like a bargain, not seen such silky skills since Alan Hudson.
Hard to say if this was the best Premier League performance ever but quite honestly I felt as comfortable throughout as I did against Sheffield Wednesday. We were sublime.

Also quick note about the transfer window, surely the win in the cup is going to work in our advantage...players will not want to leave and miss out on a potential trip to wembley, and we will look more attractive to those we are chasing.....

Fantastic performance yesterday from every player in red and white and never has a Sunday afternoon shift at work gone so quick and felt so good.Still coming to terms with the glowing praise from media pundits especially Glenn Hoddle who hated us for years prior to the arrival of Mark Hughes.Long may it continue.

On BT Sport yesterday Howard Webb said that the Brit was the hardest place to referee a game due to the hostility from the stands.
He also told how one PL manager said how much he hated coming to the Brit and from the clues he gave it seems he was taking about Roy Hodgson, perhaps this could explain lack of visits, call ups, etc

If we play like that against West Ham what a game it will be, I'm going for a 3-2 win for Stoke and how many fans are we taking Saturday ?

Great win yesterday. Up there with the first half against Arsenal last season and the 6-1 against Liverpool. I don't think the wind affected the game too much, but if anyone finds a ginger syrup it's mine.

Erik Pieters song?
Erik Pieters is our king, is our king, is our king Erik Pieters is our king, he kills wingers
Puts the b**tards in the stand, in the stand, in the stand Puts the b**tards in the stand, Erik Pieters
If anyone could put a tune to this it would be helpful?

League Cup semi finals
Seems a bit harsh that the game at the Brit is kicking off at 8pm, yet Stoke fans have 15 minutes less time to make the kick off at Anfield - which is 7-45?
Why the difference?

In reference to ground safety we saw a group of 6-7 stewards under the bridge before the underpass taking absolutely no notice of any of the fans walking to the ground. If these people are in charge with our security / safety, I'd rather Stoke didn't bother.
