How old are you? I suspect that (apart from Cup matches) you are going to have to live for a very long time before you see league games between the two clubs!
I'm old enough to remember when there was little rivalry. In the 1960s it was common for fans to go to Stoke one week and Port Vale the next week - if Stoke were playing away from home.

When i first started watching Stoke remember seeing hand knit jumpers, one side Port Vale one side Stoke City on a few ocassions around the old Victoria ground.

He's from a favela with electricity and a sewage system. Port Vale have offered him a place on the board of directors.

Somehow I doubt you'll get your wish to see Vale play Stoke in the league for a long, long, long, long time. Maybe in a cup one day - if you're lucky - but I don't see our paths crossing any time soon. But never mind, there's always the badly dressed odd balls from Crwho, for now...

I'm 69 and I can count the seasons when Port Vale and Stoke have been in the same league on my fingers. It happens very rarely - but it is good that you have ambition. How did you come to support Port Vale? There aren't many people in Stoke who support them let alone Brazil!

I liked the Port Vale, I always followed English football and enjoyed the club and I am a fan, even if the club is small and less than the Stoke prefer Port Vale, it would be good for both clubs jogare again I think I

My father used to go to Stoke and the Vale each week up to the 1950s. He went to watch the football; there was no TV. He was very fortunate to be a company sales rep. (what used to be called "a commercial traveller") so he had a company car, an old A30 I think. He was not what we would call a fan of anybody or any thing. One day he went to the Vale and parked his car in the usual spot. A club official stopped him and said "You cannot park there any longer, the place is now reserved for a club director". My father said "Well if that is the case, tell the club director he is welcome to it because I will not be coming again". He never went to a football match again. He went to horse racing, until they started to show it on the tele.

Other than that, your gonna have to think about more important things than waiting for the pair to face each other in the league pretty soon.....like what presents to buy your grandchildren for their next birthday!!!

Mine did too until my rather wiser Grandfather insisted that he had to drop the Vale if he wished to be allowed to carry on dating his daughter (my mum). He was deadly serious too.

My Grandson (7) is a season ticket holder at Port Vale.
I'd disown him if I didn't love him more than life itself.
They're HIS club...........good on him.

Explain yourself!! Entirely down to his dad mate (Vale Season Ticket Holder). Did my absolute best, dressing him from birth in Stoke City babygrows and, later, buying him Stoke tops and sending his dad the photos. Sadly, his dad took him the Vale and he idolizes his dad so....done deal. Still tells me he LIKES Stoke as well though.

Oh okay Mark,
I've seen you mention your dad a few times before and wondered if it was the bloke I knew from Staffordshire House circa mid to late eighties - an absolutely massive Stoke fan. No way could I see him having anything to do with the Vale. His first question to me on the day I started work was 'who do you support? Not what's your name or what can you do!
I remember the marketing department at British Coal Central Area HQ at Fenton being run by the biggest collection of twats you could ever come across, all Vale fans milking their brief moment in the sun. No wonder the pits shut down.

I long since gave up any pretence of being able to influence my daughter Momo. I'm just the senile old bugger who sits in the corner moaning.
