In the quarter finals we saw Sheffield We'd supporters turn up and give there team exceptional support on "a cold & wet Tues night at the Brit"
It cost them £20 per head and as we have already read on this forum we congratulate them on their enthusiasm, and support.
They took and filled the entire S end of the ground. Had SCFC been greedy would there have been so many? I suspect not.
Should Stoke City FC , who have already taken a stance with free transport, now take a stance and say " TWENTY is PLENTY", and invite all visitors to our stadium for a sensible ticket price of £20 and then challenge there clubs to reciprocate. .
We are now a club of influence. Let us make a stance and a statement.

We are now a club of influence. Let us make a stance and a statement. In fact both clubs have to agree a ticket price for single cup games (i.e. not two legged ties) so no doubt the Owls will have had their say over pricing. There is a thread further down the board which says that Premier League clubs are discussing it at present. No doubt, as Stoke agreed £20 reciprocal pricing with Newcastle, they will be open to some sort of maximum price for away fans. You can bet if the Premier League do not get the required majority, then it will be the biggest clubs (esp. the London ones) with the most expensive tickets who will try to block it - as they will feel that they have the most to lose.

The thieving Baggies have charged me £39 for the game on 2nd January. Mind you, it does include the added frisson of the delights of Smethwick, so I don't suppose I can complain.

The theaving Baggies are an exact demonstration of what I am trying to say. WBA have no regard for true fans. This price is a disgrace. Next season let us shame them and INVITE there fans to our stadium for £20 and ask them to reciprocate If this were to take off it will very quickly spread through the leauge.

it would be nice if our pricing policy rubbed off on them, god knows what they would charge if they got promoted when they charge these disgusting prices for a championship game

It has been well documented that Premier League clubs could let every supporter in for free and not suffer. If we really wanted to make a statement, we should allow everyone into the ground for a nominal fee of, say, £1 when we play Arsenal.
I say that we should do it against Arsenal because their prices are more criminal then those of any other team in the league and we can really put them to shame..

Don't know how to spread this to other fan sites.
If anybody does it would be interesting to hear what they think ,

Yes, and the jungle drums are suggesting that Arsenal are the strongest opponents of significant action by the PL on prices. As is always the case, it's not the Arsenal supporters fault - they don't fix the prices and they gave a really warm reception to the protest at their ground by the Bayern fans

It's something to brag about rather than be ashamed of.

We all keep having a comment on away followings etc. But now it must be quite obvious, it's not free travel that gets the numbers travelling, it's the ticket prices? Newcastle and West ham, cheap tickets over 2.500 for both.

There are some very good very and active fans groups at Arsenal who are active and onside with the campaign, and, as I said, there was warm applause for the Bayern protest on the night. Generalisations about the fans of particular clubs are rarely accurate or helpful in getting co-ordinated campaigns
