Thought he did quite well on Saturday. Provided lots of energy on the defensive side of the ball and broke forward when the opportunity was there. Great asset to have in the game day 18 as he provides excellent cover at three positions.

Sorry but what the heck is 'game day 18' It is something American sites like the Bleacher report say. I don't see why it wasn't game day 13 in this case though.

I interpreted 'Game Day 18' as the starters plus bench. 18 players. Cameron is good to have on the bench because he can cover 3 positions. I agree, I reckon' he's our best Whelan back up at the moment.

No-ones posted as they probably dont see the point
We all think he is a good player and asset.
There are a few naysayers who always say he is shit regardless.
Its like groundhog day

He was one of many that played well last night but Affelay was by far the standout MOM. Gouranga.

I think bayern will be hoping some one will say something and he can retort with some thing like he's found his level!
That's the only rational thing i can think of for him starting the thread.

He's got bags of energy and he covers the ground fast. I'd love to see him alongside Whelan at the weekend.

Geoff played very well against very limited opposition.

In all honesty, yeah I thought he looked great with some very incisive passing. Not sure the same performance can be counted on staring down Man City. Would be nice to give him a go, though, as I'm not convinced Adam would have looked any better against any opposition we've played and Cameron certainly has a bit more speed and height to content with Man City's midfielders.

It was brilliant to see some mobility in the centre of the park. A couple of Geoff driving runs made me realise just what we miss by pairing Glenn and Charlie together. We really need a mobile box to box midfielder. For me Cameron plays until we find someone better.

Agreed, or honestly van Ginkel and him switching off paired up with Whelan or Adam depending on rest and fitness. Defensive mid by platoon should work fine and developing a corps of players who can all sit in seems reasonable enough.

And that pass to Joselu wasn't half bad for a player who supposedly can't pass a ball.

Cameron put in a great dm performance and pushed Afellay for MOTM. Ok the quality of opposition questionable but he also looked strong in that role as sub at Southampton

Geoff played very well against very limited opposition. Or maybe he played very well and contributed to limiting the opposition? They weren't that limited when disposing of Arsenal in the last round.

I'm a big Cameron fan and feel he is very unlucky not to be a regular starter(if Whelan is ever injured he is first choice). None of the above changes my belief that Wednesday were a very, very poor team last night.

I thought he was much like everyone else last night - decent and solid without excelling. A good 7/10 performance. His ball over the top to Joselu was exquisite, but without the ball he didn't show the sort of discipline that you get from Whelan - he tended to be a bit of a headless chicken at times. Still, it's not Whelan's position that's up for grabs.
