Thank you for that summary Rob - I missed the game on Saturday and had no desire to watch any more detail of it than the MotD highlights on Saturday night. It's nice to know that there's such an in depth and thorough analysis available after the game.
However, I'm a little bit bemused by one point, which is the incident that Ryan should supposedly have been booked for in the first half. In the highlights it appeared that the Sunderland player rode the tackle and beat Ryan. I can't comprehend why there's a suggestion that he should have gone down and got Ryan booked.

It wasn't a tackle MD, it was a foul. Ryan caught him. I think it can be debated that it was a yellow card offence or not but not that it was a foul.

People assume low goals scored = need striker. It isn't that simple. Correct. You have to look at the movement of the striker aswell, and ask is he creating the right angles for the right pass? Agreed. Plus we only play a single stiker. So even if we had the mythical "20-goals-a-season" super star, the rest have to chip with 20 between them to just average a goal a game. In addition to not creating chances from open play, how many goals have we scored from set pieces this season? There used to be a time when we'd rely on a decent number from Huth and Shawcross. Cameron scored a cracking header for the US a couple of weeks ago. So he is capable given the right service. I can't remember any goals from a CB since Shawcross scored last Boxing Day against Manure. Of course my memory isn't what it used to be.

They only showed it very quickly, so I could be wrong.

Watmore did well to ride the leg breaker. If he had gone down Shawcross was off. It wasn't late, it was an attempt to take him out.

As always a good read and bang onm about our creators needing to create and take responsibility only Arnie can be said to be anywhere near the standard required so far this season of our attacking players
