Dunnit. Is it my imagination or are the Sunderland stewards much more friendly/laid back than they used to be?

Love the accent, a softer version of Geordie. We might have been on the same P&R bus as you, if it was one of those that left from next to the aquatic centre and went to the industrial estate. Very efficient - and free! I get on with Mackems. My mother was from South Shields where half the town supports Sunderland and I often used to go to Roker Park when I was holidaying at my Grandparents as a kid. As you say, a slightly softer accent than the Geordie one - and we had a good natter with a couple of blokes on the bus back to the car. All in all an enjoyable away day - apart from the game which put a downer on things.

The park and ride was fantastic , 2 mins off the A19 , free to park and free bus , very quick and easy the home fans were fine , would recommend anyone to use it next time the bus even drops off behind the away end .
