I honestly didn't realise his problem was with concussion. Good luck Wilko Strange that the Daily Mail's spell checker didn't catch that they have spelt it incorrectly in the headline! "Andy Wilkinson returning to America in bid to save career as Stoke hero continues to struggles with concusison"

I really hope he can get it sorted. He may not be what we need but he'd be ideal for plenty of clubs in the Championship and probably be a good backup to the odd one in the Prem. I worry it's over for him though. Can you really fix this kind of brain damage? Very sad times for Andy, but regardless we can all hope.

He may not have been the most talented footballer, but he was probably the footballer behind Denis Smith who gave their all for Stoke City. Good luck Wilko.

A natural footballer of Championship standard. The heart and passion of a Champions League winner.
It took him, and us, a long way.

Wilko and Dicko. Dicko started the Prem but fell out of favour
Best of luck to both, particularly Wilko because he needs the support

I honestly didn't realise his problem was with concussion. Good luck Wilko I was told all about how serious this was at the pre-season at Brentford but was sworn to secrecy. Seems pretty nasty. Just hope all goes well for a player this slip in his veins!!! Congratulation also to all those involved, loyalty being such a rare thing in nogger.

Remember when he absolutely ruined the 'World's top player' Ronaldo's day at Stoke, so much so that the slippery one (CR7) was substituted, mind you they brought on Giggs who immediately passed to Tevez for the winner - can't win 'em all eh ? Good luck Wilko - could always see him teaming up with his old mate Dicko at the Vale, you never know !
