I know. Read the article, apparently being 'the Stoke of international football' brings awkwardness.

If you read the article, it isn't according to the BBC. It's a quote from Irish sports journalist Miguel Delaney:
"There's no doubt that in terms of quality it's probably our worst generation in 25 or 30 years. The club which we have our best players from is Everton and in the past we had Roy Keane at Manchester United and one or two players that elevated the side. In that sense, probably, we're the Stoke City of international football but with the awkwardness that brings."

They (media) "STILL" can't move on from the Stoke under Pulis.... "WE'VE MOVED ON GUYS....we do have one or two superstars now, I'm pretty sure even the likes of Tottenham would love Bojan, Arnautovic or Shakiri in their team!!!

Still dwelling on the way we used to be !! Lazy, lazy bastard media. I suppose it's a compliment that we left such a mark on football.

Great stuff.
Tone has left his mark on our Club and we should be flattered that we are mentioned in such terms.
Onwards and upwards.

Because it has a very very slight link to Pulis. of course, lest we not forget! I think if anything it's a bit unfair on Ireland. They don't really have the resources we have at our comparative levels and their best player is Jon Walters!....so Yes, we have moved on!
