What about making a bid for Remy in January?
With trying to stay on his feet when challenged by Butland he's turned his back on the whole cheating diving culture at Chelsea.
Will Mourinho ever want to pick a player again who's turned his back so much on the Chelsea 'way'?

Not after he completely mugged us off a few years ago with that bollocks visit to the training ground.
Give me Diouf anyday.

Doubt Chelsea want rid tbh. Out of him and Costa, I'd pick Remy every day of the week based on current form.

FFS I'd have him here in a flash, miles better than any striker we have, I'd even go as far as selling Crouch, Walters, Odemwinge and Joselu to fund a bid for him. Imagine a front 4 of Arnie, Shaq, Bojan (when his mojo returns) and Remi. I'm getting hard just thinking about it. Gouranga.

If Remi started yesterday Chelsea would of won.
I'd have him here in a shot, unfortunately they'd be a long list of clubs after him.

Albert, behave! Remy would be nothing without SJW to keep him on the straight and narrow!
Fair play to him for staying on his feet...unlike his 12 colleagues (I absolve Bego from this)who rolled around all afternoon

I'm very glad they chose to go with Costa who right now seems to be more interested in other things than playing football!

Completely different class to any striker we have today.
Wouldn't be a jot bit interested in coming to Stoke though.

I'd imagine Remy will be available next season, like Demba Ba and Drogba's second spell Chelsea have been trying to get by with a second choice striker on the cheap. Looks like this cost cutting will cost them a champions league place so i'd expect a big spending spree in the summer.

I've been calling for Austin, but I'd sooner have Remy.

I've been calling for Austin, but I'd sooner have Remy. Remy looks much better suited to the lone striker role than Austin. Remy also has the advantage that he is versatile and can play as a winger/wide striker in a front 3 if needs be - that was the position he often used to play in at Newcastle.

It's a pipe dream. We are still not an attractive option for a player in his prime to switch from a Premier League club, especially a London-based one. If Remy leaves Chelsea, he would be likely to go to a top six club or to a Champions League club abroad.

Yep.
I could easily see him leaving Chelsea in the summer but he'd pick (someone like) West Ham before us every time, we'd have to (significantly) improve the money he's on now for him to come here and that isn't going to happen.

Why would Chelsea let him go right now? If Mourinho has any desire to stay in his job, he'll drop Costa, who seems far more interested in getting into a brawl, immediately and start picking Remy.

Diouf brings more to the team overall, but a clinical finisher would be lovely.
That said, I don't expect Chelsea to be selling unless they bring in a few.

Guardian mention Palace and Newcastle and a potential £10m fee
Rémy’s suitors having been offered some encouragement the striker may be made available for permanent transfer at around £10m. Crystal Palace and Newcastle United are both keen on securing the striker, who scored 14 goals in a loan spell on Tyneside two seasons ago, while Swansea City are also monitoring his availability.

We need a striker, a young decent right back, centre defensive mid, and maybe some wing cover. edit- centre back wouldn't be bad either

No of course not. The goals have just flown in this season. Look at the date, at the time I didn't think we did. I still don't, however if Remy is available at this price and we can get the rumoured 8 for Diouf we would be stupid not to.
