I was thinking the same momo and i would imagine Man City would feel the same but if that was the case one of those games would be on TV on the Tuesday?with the other 2 games on the Wednesday.Knowing the wankers in charge they'll make us play Wednesday then early on Saturday.

Last time I went to stoke we were kettled into a pen for half an hour in the scorching August sun after the game. Will make getting back fun. When the fuck was that? 1976?

If Hull can do us a favour and knock Man City out then this cup is ours for the taking.

Perfect draw , just hope they believe their own hype having beaten an arsenal (can't be arsed) second team and come out to attack us ,
We have the quality to smash em if they do !

Need to make sure we are on it for this not like DCFC a few seasons ago where we didn't turn up Sidders mate if I'm thinking of the same game didn't we get shafted by the worst penalty decision of all time when with his back to the ball and arms down by his side Griffin, the ref deemed that it was deliberate hand ball as his arm came out as he spun all natural movement?

We did mate by good old Rob Styles Certainly was, I was in Block 10 (just behind the Griff "handball") and nearly vaulted the barrier to twat Styles. Thankfully, it was so cold my legs didn't work and I couldn't...

Probably the last time he shafted us mate.I'm reminded on a regular basis of Nathan Ellington's last minute pen by lads at work mate and it must have been one of the slowest pens in history the way it went in.

I don't remember the penalty itself, was probably still ranting. Styles' disappearance from refereeing soon after was probably best for his own personal safety - I'm still amazed he wasn't lynched at Gillingham...

What are the other games? BM Mddlesbrough v Everton Southampton v Liverpool City v Hull You gotta fancy Boro to beat Everton, Dippers to just edge Saints, Citeh to beat Hull, of course a lot depends on European priorities, except Boro v Everton, so who knows what teams Dippers & Citeh will put out, should be good, and IF, we beat Weds, which on paper we should, but it's on grass not paper, with the exception of Citeh I'd love to see a thrilling Semi Final, but again, when the semis are played ( 2 games) hopefully our opposition will have European priorities on their minds, not sure when Euro comps are to be played after Xmas and if it clashes with Semi...But as others have said, chickens, eggs and counting....Lets make sure we get there. EDIT...Just checked Euro Dates, and Dippers and Citeh play in Europe the week before and the week after the Qtr finals, so could be an interesting team they put out, esp Dippers away, gotta still fancy em though.

Sigh,
I presume you are talking about our publicised ticket prices this season at Hillsborough and have got the wrong end of the stick through poor reporting as per usual.
Sheffield Wednesday for some reason came up with an 8 catogary ticketing system this season for which the top price regular seat in the best seats would be priced at £52 but away fans are not seated in the best seats so would NEVER pay that price and the fact is these Catagory A* and for that matter Cstogary A prices haven't been charged this season and probably won't be.
The most away fans have paid this season was on the opening day when Bridtol City fans were charged £39 which I know is still a lot for The Championship but this was a one off and the most I think everyone else has paid is £30 with Wednesday fans paying the same unless members and then they got a £5 discount making it £28 on our Kop.
Brighton next week has been made a Catagory G game meaning it is £20 all round the ground for adults, £15 for O.A.P's, Armed Forces, £10 got Under 17's and £5 for Under 11'a
I think they realised they got the pricing wrong for our opening fixture and not gone down the same road again and are trying to get people to join our membership scheme for £30 where they get £5 off most home match tickets (apart from Catagory G games).
Prices against Arsenal were £25 for adult season ticket holders and members all round the ground or £30 on the Kop, £33 on The North Stand or £36 on The South Stand so you actually could've saved £11 on a South Stand ticket as a member/ season ticket holder.
Hope this dispels this £52 a ticket for away fans myth!

His class is looking after the small people that make a club like are club work the fans look at what he's dun for all the fans going castle this weekend he should pull rank and force Wednesdays owners in to subsidising there fans ticket and travel buy charging him over price in the 1st place cos last thing Wednesdays owner wants is no one there in the away end on what the money grabbing arse thinks is just another pay day for his pocket

Oh, and both clubs must agree on the ticket price for cup games. WAWAW

Try opening game of the season in 2005 Seems like you are a 'new fan' to Stoke now they are in Premiership if you don't know it wasn't too long ago that we played each other so you'll also not remember that disgraceful tackle from behind by the thug Shawcross in 2007 on Franny Jeffers which broke his leg and the ref didn't even book him but we still won 4-2 at The Brittania WAWAW

But we haven't charged anyone £52 as I've said twice previous.
We've charged away fans £33 got all but one of the league games so far this season
Away from home we've been charged so far this season :-
Ipswich £32.50 Leeds £37 (or £42 if paying on the day of the game) Burnley £24 Bolton £25 Brentford £28 (for an appalling view and facilities and seats for legroom for midgets) Q.P.R £28 or £25 for restricted views £23 for Rotherham
So I agree £30 is too much still but Leeds take the piss and you are shoved in the corner of thier oldest side stand with a crap view, Brentford's away end is awful and Q.P.R if you're not on the front row of the upper tier basically you have a restricted view and can't see the back of the net below you. Ipswich isn't the best either.
