I have read all the threads and understand what you are saying.
I have never been so disappointed in a result for a long time.
Whilst born in N Staffs i now live South of Stone and had the embarasing experience of Baggies taking the pee out of me.
Not happy but still heading NE next week

That was a horrible feeling. Today's just another day. Shit performance, let's restore parity at their place.

I don't think that would be in my top 20 of disappointing results.
It's part of being a Stoke fan dealing with shit results.

There's been hundreds of performances worse than that. All that happened is we played shit and lost. It isn't a reason to panic or reassess the universe or admit ourselves to hospital or get all angry.
It's football it happens. And that's that.

Strangely my biggest disappointment was losing one nil to Vale at the Vic in the Autoglass area final (where Steino missed a hat-full).

This should be pinned to the top of the forum as a disclaimer.

Losing when we did not deserve to, like from referee bias, or terrible misfortune, is what gets to me more.
Yesterday we were total shit and should have lost by 3-4 goals to be honest, so no complaints from me. And looking at our performances all season so far, it is going to be a very strange season because we have an unbalanced side. there will be a lot of defeats like that until we hopefully make a couple of additions in the January window.
if we grind out another couple of 1-0's between now and then, starting at Newcastle on Saturday, we will be alright. But I don't think it is going to be a good season by our recent standards.

I've supported Stoke all my life, so I'm used to being let down. However, yesterday was a disgrace considering all the supposed International standard talent we have in our squad. Defended like a Sunday League pub team & no idea in front of goal. I'll always support Stoke but as a customer I expect a better return, especially at home against a promoted side. Maybe I should attend more away games.....Villa was certainly a much better day out.... Whinge over for this season !

I hope The Baggies fans you mention enjoyed another fucking bore of a match and will continue to do so for the rest of the season, all the while having an overbearing manager telling you that your clubs no better than 40 points. Swings and roundabouts really.
