There's no point in having a tgt man when there is no midfield to run past him and no wingers getting into the box. It's like have a lighthouse in the desert. I don't blame Joselu for no link up play from Adam, Bojan, Whelan, Arnie and Shaq who at times showed flashes but then ushered themselves out of an advantage. Chris Iwelumo bemoaned our inability to get crosses in, especially after players had beaten their man and "done the hard work". He also rated Joselu as MOTM against Swansea.

We were awful with the ball as if we hoped to will it into the net with passing... Does anyone know how to shoot or cross or get a head on the ball now? Scary thought we have 1 shot on tgt at home vs Watford... 1.

He won the ball in the air, used it well on the ground and was generally very useful in a strong target man's performance away from home?

Or would you agree that now Walters and Diouf are back he'll be third choice and be anonymous?

You appear to be getting hysterical over a bloke whose played three times and made a significant contribution in 2 of those games. He was poor today but so were plenty around him. Diouf was unavailable and Walters was injured at Swansea. We won the game so it's only natural that the manager sticks with him given that Diouf is still unavailable and Walters is returning from injury. Diouf or Walters are our main frontmen with Joselu and Crouch providing decent competition. I suggest some people need to grow a pair of bollocks.

I don't agree he wasn't good on Monday because that's a mental opinion. I don't agree he's a waste of £6m because I think it's too early to judge either way and he hasn't been uniformly terrible. So no.

Yawn. It was boring. Simple as. Crowd size doesn't make a difference. I go to football to be entertained. Today I was not.

What's embarrassing is the meltdown by some on this board every time we get a bad result. The abuse and scapegoating is fucking moronic. We were poor today, but Watford produced a good performance and did a decent job on us. There are no bad teams in this league and were not going to keep clean sheets every week. We had a bad day at the office and Watform wot worth their three points. I'm sure Hughes will dish out a collective bollocking and we'll be back on track, but anyone with delusions of us dishing out win after win needs to give their head a wobble. I'd much rather read posts that are reactionary nonsense because football makes people emotional than people having a go at those people. It's a Stoke forum for people who watch and talk about Stoke isn't it? What are we meant to talk about? of course we all want to debate the game and express emotion, but the knicker-wetting tantrums and now customary venom directed at our own players is a tad tiresome, don't you think? It's not like we are in the midst of self-imploding with little to look forward to beyond a quick slide back into oblivion. We're looking at what is without a doubt our best squad in decades, playing some decent football and stable finances to build moving forward and we lost a game to a well organized side who did a bit of a job on us. We were coming off the back of four straight wins......are people fully expecting us to be invincible every week? Most of the tools posting the drivel seem gleefully happy to take their opportunities to have a snipe at our players, the manager and other fans. Like a bunch of spoiled kids who don't know how good they have it.

The manager and every single player should be ashamed when they collect their wage this week. Not a single one of them comes out of it with credit. Hughes hasn't got a clue how to beat a team that comes and tries to contain us. Joselu is the biggest waste of 6 million ever. What does he bring to the table? Crouch is the target man that is good with his feet. Diouf is the pacey option that gets in behind. Walters is the strong workhorse that works the channels.....and what does Joselu give us that those don't? Absolutely nothing. If Hughes has got any balls he cancels their day off tomorrow and drags them all in and gives them the bollocking they deserve. And Joselu shouldn't even make the bench ever again. Waste of fucking money. Will you give it a rest, gets boring every time we lose.

Joselu was god on Monday. Now he's the biggest waste of money ever. A goal next weekend and he'll be god again. And so on and so forth. Let's be honest - Joselu was OK against Swansea and worth another try. However the overall performance after the goal (ie 85 mins) was pedestrian. Didn't see today's match but sounds like we picked up where we left off.

And he brings nothing new to the table. As for the "a goal next week"......yeah, 1 goal for our 6 million would be nice.... Bullshit.
