Joselu was god on Monday. Now he's the biggest waste of money ever. A goal next weekend and he'll be god again. And so on and so forth. God ? He was alright at best for me on Monday , nothing more !

What's embarrassing is the meltdown by some on this board every time we get a bad result. The abuse and scapegoating is fucking moronic. We were poor today, but Watford produced a good performance and did a decent job on us. There are no bad teams in this league and were not going to keep clean sheets every week. We had a bad day at the office and Watform wot worth their three points. I'm sure Hughes will dish out a collective bollocking and we'll be back on track, but anyone with delusions of us dishing out win after win needs to give their head a wobble. I'd much rather read posts that are reactionary nonsense because football makes people emotional than people having a go at those people. It's a Stoke forum for people who watch and talk about Stoke isn't it? What are we meant to talk about?

Even before the final whistle the ground was almost empty. I could only see a handful of people clapping the team.

A tale of few chances created and two given away. Think you could tell how we were going to play in the first five minutes , over passing and complacency. Defending is not the only problem, we just aren't making chances. One positive was Shaquiri at least taking his full back on, should have taken a shot though, as he got to the bi line and there was nobody there to receive the ball.

The manager and every single player should be ashamed when they collect their wage this week. Not a single one of them comes out of it with credit. Hughes hasn't got a clue how to beat a team that comes and tries to contain us. Joselu is the biggest waste of 6 million ever. What does he bring to the table? Crouch is the target man that is good with his feet. Diouf is the pacey option that gets in behind. Walters is the strong workhorse that works the channels.....and what does Joselu give us that those don't? Absolutely nothing. If Hughes has got any balls he cancels their day off tomorrow and drags them all in and gives them the bollocking they deserve. And Joselu shouldn't even make the bench ever again. Waste of fucking money. JOSELU

Joselu, the new boo boy.
The only thing embarrassing is our support of the players. Bad result and they're all out in force. We were shit today but some of the stuff written on here is beyond pathetic.

Bad day at the office ???? - not as bad as I will have on Monday - cliched crap If you can't handle Monday mornings at work after a bad result, im guessing you've not had much experience in following Stoke. We've never had it so good mate, and if you can't hack a defeat after three straight wins without some kind of emotional collapse, you might want to take a deeper look at your life.

He ran around like a headless chicken which the majority of us could do, good tracking and closing down like a defensive midfielder never a 'good' strikers performance Do behave. He held the ball up excellently on Monday, won loads in the air, showed quick feet and brought others into the game, like a target man is supposed to do. He was abject toss today and should've been hooked (for Walters) at half time. It's a signing that could still very much go either way.

I assume they cant get an internet connection after a victory.

I have to say losing a premier league fixture against a team who has lost only once on their travels this season isn't that embarrassing.
Losing consecutive home games 4-0 against Bristol rovers and Wycombe wanderers was embarrassing particularly when the game before those was a 3-0 home defeat to Wrexham.
Get a grip mate!

Think you were a bit harsh on joselu, he is clearly not fit enough yet. I hope he improves as much as everyone else does. I think starting him today was another clear error by the manager. He was cramping up at swansea after about 60 mins, his legs would never have fully recovered in such a short time. I think hughes hung him out to dry today and should have started walters. Defensively we were shocking but we were forced to change early and it just went tits up.

Bad day for everyone, it happens. It happens too often when we're at home against teams that we should be beating. Do you not think? We seem to really struggle against the so called "lesser" sides, don't we? Teams with pace, drive and organisation seem to give us more trouble than the more cultured sides. Surely we should be able to adapt?

Oh yes, he was 6 million worth on Monday..... I don't know what you mean mate. He's a poor investment and he brings nothing new to the table. Crouch, Diouf and Walters are fine. There was no need to spend 6 million on a player that brings nothing new.

shocking today. doesn't help having the worst CM in the premier league. did they make one forward pass between them? and Charlie shooting from corners, what a waste when we had big men in the box.

There was no need to spend 6 million on a player that brings nothing new. I think we did need a younger target man option. Joselu may well turn out not to be the answer. He's had some poor games. But the fact that he had a very good game on Monday night and his cameo at Spurs mean I'm not willing to totally write him off just yet. Especially not three months into a first season in a new league. As I say, it could go either way.

There's no point in having a tgt man when there is no midfield to run past him and no wingers getting into the box. It's like have a lighthouse in the desert. I don't blame Joselu for no link up play from Adam, Bojan, Whelan, Arnie and Shaq who at times showed flashes but then ushered themselves out of an advantage.

We were terrible today and the worst performance all season by a long stretch. However, Watford were outstanding I agree with that mate, but would add it's the worse home performance since Hughes took charge. Our home form this season is worrying.
