The SNP are the biggest bunch of hypocritical pricks i've ever seen. How can they spend all their time pushing for Scotland to make more of their own decisions, then say they wan't to stick their noses into ours?

How can they spend all their time pushing for Scotland to make more of their own decisions, then say they wan't to stick their noses into ours? Remember the SNP are seeking independence so they'll grab hold of anything and twist it to help them in that cause. Addressing the infamous West Lothian question has to be done at some point. I hope the EVEL solution being put forward is a step forward in that regard. But, not being an expert in parliamentary procedure (and this is quite a technical bill) I've no idea if it will achieve its aims.

Cameron has fucked over the Scots good and proper with the pack of lies and broken promises just before the independence vote. You would have thought they would have known better. With boundary changes in England coming up, he doesn't care that the Tories will be a virtual non entity in Scotland for another 100 years.

So you don't want the Jocks to have what you want. Not sure if you're addressing me here, but I can't wait for the two countries to go their own way, it's only a matter of time. Too long, the Scottish have had perks such as no University fees and free prescriptions that England (and Wales) have been denied. Fuck 'em off.

There's a bit more to that than folk have appreciated and it's starting to come to a head up here (well it would if there was a decent opposition to challenge the SNP). Tuition fees and prescriptions may be free for the punters but they still have to be paid for. Where does the money come from - well it would appear it is the NHS. Scotland is falling well behind England in terms of NHS expenditure. The SNP try and blame it on Westminster and Tory austerity and Barnet consequentials, but the reality is starting to emerge... Relative reductions in NHS spending in Scotland is a result of the SNP prioritising other policies, particularly the two you mention but also Council Tax freezes. The chief beneficiaries of which are, much to the embarassment of a party that claims to be on the left of the political spectrum, the middle classes. Hmmmmm. Tartan Tories?

I remember reading a few months back how the SNP were (politically astutely, in all fairness) using the Barnet Formula and Westminster as convenient scapegoats for its own economic and educational cack-handedness. www.ft.com/cms/s/2/36d6aa9a-efeb-11e4-ab73-00144feab7de.html#axzz3pThSQADi

But if Scotland had all of its oil and gas revenue for itself free university fees etc wouldn't be a problem.

In no way fair that Scotland has different benefits to England yet pays the same tax rates. Can only conclude that we are subsidising them to keep.the union together. Reckon if we all had a vote on Scottish independence last year the result would've been different

The Barnett formula does mean that the Scots get nearly £2,000 per head more spent than England (well a couple ago anyway). www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-29477233The Barnett formula (if I remember correctly) also favours London more than anywhere else, so given this, it's the English provinces that are well and truly shafted.

Closely followed by Labour who have lost a damned sight more support , but the same thing is now happening in England because of Corbyns election .
