I don't want to be OTT about things, but we are beginning to look like a very decent side. I would say we have as good a squad as any outside the top 4 (Man City, Arse, Man Ure and Chelsea). The future is very exciting.

The win is the biggest positive. But also more game time for Bojan, shaq and also Joselu. I'm not going go all stir crazy here and say we were fantastic as we simply weren't, Swansea were dreadful. But that was a bloody good 3 points.

Swansea were dreadful I'm the main because we didn't allow them to play. Johnson and Whelan hardly gave Montero a sniff, Charlie was encouragingly disciplined in his role and Joselu did a great job up front.
Man Utd, Everton and Tottenham have failed to achieve what we've achieved tonight. Swansea are a decent team and this ground has been a bit of a graveyard for us in recent seasons.

We were bad, Swansea were worse, the front 3 srnie, bojan, Shaq are getting there and Joselu looks a decent option. The CBs are a strange pairing but work and no one would have thought it don't know if that's luck or judgement.

Whelan, Johnson and the CBs were magnificent.
Bojan is getting better and better with each passing game.
Shaq's vision and passing is just sensational. We had clearly worked in training on Shaq whipping in crosses towards the penalty spot.
Joselu was great too. Good hold up play and work rate. He's a blend of Crouch and Diouf. Will be very useful for us.

We controlled the game from start to finish as we did against Villa. There's always times when the home side will threaten but in the last two games that threat was pretty tepid. Just imagine when the front four start firing at the same time.

But I can see where your coming from, we weren't exactly fluid, but then at a ground like that I'm not prepared to turn my nose up. I feel as though can get 6 from the next 2 people will be labelling us 'surprise package'

I thought that was the best we've played this season, even with that ropey 20 minutes in the first half.

I think if you were to reflect on your comments and amend to the effect that we were pretty average rather than bad , then I could agree with you ...

Bad may be harsh, but if we kept the ball better if be more inclined to go with average. Without sounding all 'Bayern' our passing was shit at times.

The overriding positive was that shaqiri finally showed us glimpses of what he is going to bring to our team.
We have the makings of a very good side and that is with key players missing as well.
Joselu and Johnson were magic as well. Johnson is a superb signing.

I couldn't watch, but listening to the radio, the commentators (Steve Claridge was the co-commentator), were effusive in praise of us, saying that we demonstrated that we could be excellent going forward in the first half and solid and resolute at the back in the second half. They pretty much couldn't fault the performance. Either way, I'm feeling pretty encouraged!

Absolutely and I'm not saying we were shit, at times we were sloppy and agaisnt another team we could have struggled. But the signs are good. Shaq looks better arnies form carrys on for another game, bojan getting fitter. With Diouf I think we could have demolished them tonight.

Lots of positives but we mustn't get carried away, Swansea were very poor and we didn't score from open play.
If we can beat Watford well, remember we have one of the poorest home records in the Prem this season, then we can start to celebrate performance rather than just the result and a lot of good build up play that came to nothing apart from the penalty.
