Seems that the hatred of countries is based on three ideologies: Political, historical and religious. Sorry 4 ideologies if you count Cheesies geographical hatred of all small remote military outposts. The first two are out of control of the people, for example North Korea, Israel (political) and UK, France (historical). Religion based hatred is different IMO because it prevails across a countries populace as well as its leadership. Good examples have already been mentioned ....Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. I really am not bothered being hated as a UK citizen for the evils of the past because that is out of my control. But to be hated because of my actions forced upon me by my religious beliefs is in a different league.

It's illogical to hate a country because of its history or politicians .its about the people Shirley . For that reason I nominate Russia and South Africa . Never met one person from either country that I liked . Not very keen on the japs either , arrogant little buggers
