Ipoker is the dodgest poker going, I'll give it a miss if you don't mind.
.... If you must play poker online atleast use Pokerstars (Where the 'pros' play) Although it's all still shit really & you'd be much better off playing face-to-face. (I'm of course talking to your 'Average Joe' poker player here. If you're prepared to go on some £500+ buy-in table on-line you'll still get an half decent game, but if you're looking at <£100, especially <£25 I really wouldn't bother, you'll only lose)

Unless you are implying that the low stake games are somehow shady?

Small stakes tables are throw-away money with throw-away hands trying their luck. If you want to play 'proper' poker you're better off going the casino.

I understand what you're saying, at the lowest stakes a lot of people are undisciplined and don't really care about the money, but that also means those games are much easier to beat. It's more just a game of patience lower down, waiting for good value hands and then value betting players who are unable to fold a lot of their weaker value hands. Obviously as you move up the games get tougher and mindgames and whatnot become more of a factor because the average player is technically much better and is thinking a lot deeper mentally, but I certainly wouldn't like to play in those higher stakes games without first crushing the lower stakes and gaining experience!

You can't beat the real thing - the tells of players, the speed of the game is a lot slower in 'live' play as well.
Play in lots of EUR10 and EUR 20 get togethers over here in NL. The tournaments pull in around 60 people if Im honest - nothing big but its a really good evening and cheap as chips !!!
the final 8 carve the prize money up. Ive come 7th and 4th so got a bit of cash back but I play more for the fun than anything.
Love the game

Love the game Ye I must admit, I'm primarily an online player but it's always a nice treat when I play live and there's real people with real emotions on show and conversations and banter. Even in casinos though it can be very competitive, the most fun you can have is a private game with friends and beer. Though I'm sure the whizzkids who win tournaments in vegas would disagree with that!

Love the game I watched a final table at The Master Classics last November in Amsterdam, very interesting, stakes too rich for my blood tho :) Wish I was there for this years as well :(
