Why do they always have massive rips in them? Can't say I've noticed it at the start of the game. But by the end always seems to have massive holes in them. Does he request this or something?

Don't know but here they are. They look carefully cut with a pair of scissors rather than torn to me. It's a puzzler, that's for sure, but you wouldn't call it a good look which might catch on.

It's a game of two calfs. Maybe he has a genetic disorder that makes him a bit like the incredible hulk, but only his calf muscles are affected .

It would be interesting to see whether he's done this all season or if he did this at Liverpool, or playing for England, or whether there is something wrong with the socks New Balance are supplying. I noticed it at the Bournemouth game for the first time.

I noticed it at the Bournemouth game for the first time. Looks like he's only started doing it recently from a quick image search, his socks weren't ripped in the first game against Liverpool

Did you know? Frank Sinatra never wore the same socks twice; he only ever put on new socks. Well fancy that

If I didn't already know there's an international break and therefore no match this weekend, the fact that there's a thread about socks would have flagged it up to me.
