To the pillock that let the smoke bomb off in the Witton Arms yesterday, please don't bring another one again. It absolutely stunk.

Unfortunately there were a few idiots in there yesterday, saw a kid and his Dad having to leave after just paying two quid to get in. Even I struggled with all the smoke in there yesterday never mind people with asthma or young ones.

Someone also threw a full bottle of beer on the pitch after we scored. Madness!
What was the N40, 1985-2015 banner about as well?

Must have bin something in the beer as it was pretty much mental all day long. It was last year if you remember. All went off in the city centre. Yam Yam madness must be catching. Last season I meant as of course it was February this year.

Even I struggled with all the smoke in there yesterday never mind people with asthma or young ones. I had to take my little boy out having only gone there to meet my cousin and uncle. My boy has breathing difficulties but it was more the panic it caused him than any health problems. It is totally mindless. I've no problem with rowdy behaviour inside the ground, swearing or standing. That's football and you expect that, but smoke bombs, in a confined space be it a pub, concourse or away end, throwing beer and such like, is simply mindless and has no thought at all about people around them.

Completely agree and I hope your lad is ok, it made for an unpleasant experience for a lot of people. I still don't understand the concept of buying a drink and lobbing it about 2 minutes later or letting off smoke bombs in a tent, like you said, they had no thoughts for those around them.

Any photos of the banner? Nothing to be proud of just yobs! That banner was a pisser, mainly because when the steward took it off them, they didn't even murmur a protest. Surely they'd have been expected to "kick off".

Nothing to be proud of just yobs! Did you tell them that at the time? Many a time in the Boothen end yes. Why should they be remembered as anything else than yobs?

I would say that it was removed as it is hanging over an exec box, rather than the subject matter, which is fair enough, and probably why the people involved didn't kick off.

And then you would have come on here crying if it had kicked off. The banner wasn't offensive or anything, like someone has said, it was close to obstructing the view of the executive box occupants.

I don't think you would have seen me crying or anything of the sort. Since when have the notorious n40 been reasonable. "excuse me sir, your banner I obstructing the view of people it the executive boxes below. I'll have to confiscate it". "no problem mr steward. Take the flag and while your at it, please pass on my apologies to those people below. Sorry mate". :-). The n40 of days gone by wouldn't have let the removal of their poxy flag have passed so pleasantly. Well done for defending their honour with a cheap jibe! :-)

Maybe they didn't kick off because they retired some years ago. I presume the N40 was a big part of there lives. If they want a peaceful reunion then that's fine by me.

I'd be very surprised if we were given 3000 tickets for next seasons fixture. It was quite an eventful day.

The N40 banner was a peaceful reunion tribute a few older ex N40 lads had a bit of a day together in Birmingham catch up and a few beers
