First name on the team sheet. Alphabetical order isn't used often enough in footballing circles.

On the bench he needs to prove himself again. Will he ever grow up as well?

Whelan,MVG & Bojan all did well v Leicester so should start on Saturday. Having said that Adam, expecially at home,is a match winner so any issues re fitness & he should start.

I cant see him making the bench. I think Hughes will punish him for the sending off.
I think lineup will be.
Butland Johnson, Muniesa, Wilson, Pieters Whelan, MVG, Arnie, Bojan, Shaqiri Diouf
Bench: Given, Cameron, Wollscheid, Affellay, Ireland, Crouch, Walters

It's not about fitness whether Adam starts, it's about temperament. The guy is a walking red card and one wonders whether he will ever realise that he cannot continue to do the stupid things he does. His reputation goes before him and refs/liners must keep a special eye on him, knowing he's likely to do something daft and dangerous. Coming on from the bench with 30 or so minutes left is best option, it minimises our potential risk.

Another player who isn't rated by many on here. Charlie is one of only a very small number of genuine match winners we have in the squad. Why wouldn't he be involved in every game?

He's not fit enough or disciplined enough to play 90 minutes on a regular basis. We've seen it time and again. I realise he has an irascible charm for many and I don't want to dismiss him out of hand because he's a useful part of our squad and I have some affection for him myself. However, he doesn't have the legs or enough dynamism to be a consistent force for us and I think Hughes accepts that. Will he make the bench on Saturday? It'll be tough…..

Has been a game changer on many occasions and really gets the others players up for it as well. Definitely needs to be used as our super sub at least on Saturday! He's one of my favourite players in a Stoke shirt because, in the words of Alan Hansen, he always plays with 'grit and determination'! Yes he can be frustrating and hot headed at times but for the most part he makes a big impact and seems to play with far more urgency than some of the others. Hoping to see him back on the pitch this Saturday and hope he has a really positive game!

I'd say he more frequently changes games.

Oh lucky us. Bench please. Before Adam got sent off, during the Westbrom game he was head and shoulders above other players in the team, and made our new signing from Switzerland look like a lads and dads player. That's not meant as a dig at shaqiri, just a point of how good Charlie was before the sending off I'm looking forward to him being at least a super sub come Saturday

He needs to earn his place in the first team again, as talented as Charlie can be he really is a liability at times.

Absolute Bollocks He's no more a liability than Ryan is for grappling in the area FFS So Charlie has now missed 6 matches or around 15% of a 38-game season (that's just from memory) for stamping and Ryan has thus far given away 1 penalty for grappling but Charlie is no more a liability? Come on fella.

I'd say he more frequently changes games. It's not just the red cards mate. He's been retro-banned too hasn't he. I'm not out to slag Charlie off - he's a great asset - but he CAN be a liability.

Come on fella. Ryan is regularly tempting fate of giving away a penalty I don't however class him as a liability or risk likewise Charlie with his sometimes over the top follow throughs. He's more of a match winner than a liability.
