Is he saying we have no steel again? No leaders? Doesn't watch football, just pulls random clichés out the air.

The only way we'll win tonight is by defending with 9 leaders and lumping it to the isolated big man etc.

He's already said that he has had flak for recent comments he's made.

Is Higgy bitter about something? He's got every right to give us his honest opinion but he seems to do it with a sour grape or two.

Higgy has been spouting the same shit about lack of leaders ever since Pulis was sacked. It's like he is the mouth piece for Pulis and is bitter about not being the Stoke manager anymore

Hit the big man in the channels... During his half time analysis in the Derby v Burnley game last night he described Derby's main problem during the first half as being "the Derby back line aren't seeing enough of their forwards shirt number". I liked Higgy as a player but as a pundit, he's positively pre-historic in his views on how the game should be played. It's been obvious for a long time that his views towards the current Stoke City set up are heavily influenced by a clear desire to talk up the attributes of the team in which he played in and the manager in which he played under. This surprises me for two reasons. 1) He couldn't get out of the club fast enough when Sunderland came calling and 2) when Tony Pulis deemed him surplus to requirements, rather than tell Higgy to his face that his days here were numbered, he simply chose to send him and a couple of others cattle class to the USA for a pre-season trip whilst the rest of the squad and management staff travelled first class. Says a lot about the both men in all honesty!

Says a lot about the both men in all honesty! I find him a bit rich in all honesty. He's constantly banging on about a lack of young players coming through...yet openly defends and backs a man that has stuck two fingers up to youth systems for decades. He bangs on about professionalism of younger lads and how senior pro's used to be an example when he was at Utd yet he reportedly refused to play for Stoke in a cup game to force a move to Sunderland. He can't get off the airwaves quickly enough for me.

How was he about us the previous 2 seasons, as we had 2 really good seasons Still blathering on incessantly about how the best way to win a game is to stick men behind the ball, invite teams onto you and knock it long. To be fair that was his advice for everyone from us to England under-21s.

One thing that the cannot be denied is that horrific clean sheet stat. Whether its down to leaders at the back, organisation or whatever, it is completely fucking dreadful and two fingers to those dicks who kept spouting that goals conceded stat from last season. It is fully evident we are shit back and have been for a very long time. We are a lot, lot, less shit with Shawcross in the side but still under par.
Until we start keeping clean sheets and accumulating a few more points he has every right to make his observations.

Higgy bingo... it's the future Higgy reminds me of some posters on here. Very forthright in their opinions and give them in a very forceful manner so that they seemed to get accepted as fact when really they're a load of old arse.

We were so far behind the curve we had every right to do what we wanted. After that, not so much. The shit I always railed at was the dirty side nonsense. I just don't see why so many Stoke fans are so intent in pretending we're not fucking shit at the back. They didn't seem to be so 'understanding' a few years back, eh, Wez
