Might be a good time to back us not being relegated then.

So what are the odds on Bournemouth ?
For me they remain the firm favourites
But putting us amongst a group of up to 8 teams who could get relegated would not be amiss.
It's clear that the disjointedness in our team and lack of players in fundamental positions will take it's toll

I guarantee were not even top 5 to go down Next time dont start lying to try and get your agenda across. Sick of people doing it on here.

As I thought, all 3 promoted clubs ahead of us Were 7th fav(so finish 13th) and thats only because of our bad start. 1 win and WBA would be below us too and eventually West Ham/Leicester will start to hit bad form, they wont win forever. You can also get us at 18/1 to finish 8th which is crazy considering we were 4/1 at the start of the season only behind Southampton and equal qith Swansea and Everton

Before you call someone a liar try looking up the facts. On bet fair we are 4tg favourites to go down. No bullshit no lies. Incidentally we are favourites to beat Bournemouth but are not odds on as I thought we may have been.

With almost 16% of the season gone neutral punters are entitled to start to forming opinions on where to put their money. Particulalrly if you look beatable in every game we've played - and we have. 3 points from 6 games isn't soon enough to press the panic button - but of we got to - say - six points from 10 games - which is actually better than our current run rate - with more than 25% of the season gone ............ well do the maths. The minute you start thinking you're too good to go down you've got a problem.

I'm not a betting man but you've got to say the defence is an absolute disgrace that Hughes has put together with a one man band in the CM positions trying to steady the ship.
Losses to Fulham and Bournemouth and Hughes must realise he's on borrowed time, shame really if we had serious ly backed him who knows the outcome.

A slight reminder of PaddyPower-gate in our first season and the lesson learned about "odds".

The bookies don't make the odds. Odds are based on betting trends so at the moment we are fourth favourite to be relegated based on betting not on bookies opinion. There are different odds from various bookies based on betting within their group.

I think thats about right maybe the only other side who look as poor as us is WBA. Hoping that Bmouth and Watford start to struggle and i think then we have the likely teams in the relegation mix

Traditional Bookies set the odds, Betfair are a betting exchange, were customers back both sides of the market, and Betfair take a cut from each transaction. (Although Betfair now also have a traditional operation as well).
Traditional bookies obviously spend a fortune on computer models to set the odds, but in large volume bets, these odds can be swung by the customer bets, to protect the bookies from heavy losses. How heavy the betting on Stoke being relegated is your guess as much as mine.
Finally, on Bet 365 (Surely the only betting site anyone on here uses??), Stoke are 7th favourite to go down, (Above the 3 promoted teams, and Villa, Sunderland, and Newcastle)
Don't think that's un-realistic?

Spot on. Usually punters backing teams and such doesnt affect it that match. A million people could bet on Glen Johnson to be top Prem scorer but the bookies wouldnt change their odds. However, if a million people backed a 100/1 horse, bookies would shorten to odds massively to protect their losses. Betfair will be skewed because they don thave much to do with the odds. Naturally, people will think Stoke to go down is good money after a poor start and Shawcross being out. However the main bookies arent budging. Leicester/West Ham have lengthened after good starts which naturally means us and WBA after poor starts shorten. We wouldnt be odds on unless we were bottom at Xmas.
