Obviously Odemwingie was electrifying and dynamic before his injury, but since then, there has not been a single moment in any of the matches last season or this season where I felt excited when he's had the ball. He's slower now, and that was a huge part of his game before. Maybe give him a few more tries this season, but all in all I think it's over for him. Unfortunate

Unfortunate I thought Shaqiri honestly was similar in the second half, flashed to deceive most of the match. Didn't take his man on once until the one move he made on schlupp to get into the box, he really missed the boat for being an attacking player on the wing. He looked better as a CAM but missed Ireland at the death and sent him wide. Arnautovic was similar in the second what happened at HT... Who knows.

Yeah finished, ridiculous to offer him a contract, let alone get him anywhere near the matchday squad.

Yes. It's sad, but I think he's just lost it.
Regardless of that, giving him a contract was absolutely the right thing to do. Sometimes, you have to do the decent thing.

Swear he only played for like 5 mins, but that's plenty of time for this board to make a judgment on a team or player.

Not the same player and much slower than he was, lacking confidence and I'm don't know why tf we brought him on...

He's coming off the back of two bad injuries, cut him some slack.

Dreadful subs from the manager that killed all momentum.
I think he's making some really basic and costly errors this season.

Unfortunate Can't disagree with that statement, unfortunately his age and the confidence after the injury last season clearly has effected wingie.. Possibly the sub was wrong but Joselu is too similar to crouch and maybe Hughes struggled to change it when Crouch came on???

Swear he only played for like 5 mins, but that's plenty of time for this board to make a judgment on a team or player. It's not the 13 minutes he played in this match. It's every match he's played in since coming back last spring. He's offered nothing. He was the type to try a cheeky push of the ball past the defender and run onto it. Now it seems like nothing. Obviously the small amount of time he played today isn't a good measure, but cumulatively, this thread was a matter of time.

He had a horrible injury to get through and then picked up another knock. Whether he'll ever come good again remains to be seen, but judging him on bit part performances coming straight back from injuries is a tad harsh.
