20 years ago today Vinny Overson issued his uniting rallying call to us all. Next day we responded with a 0-0 draw. It doesn't sound too impressive but we played really well and kept a clean sheet. The rallying call was the pivotal point in transforming the way we saw the team and all things borne in mind led to a remarkably successful season.

Perhaps this was a small mirror image from our little man 20 years on?

We played Tranmere at home (in the days when they were a good side) and drew 0-0. Nothing spectacular, but we played very, very well. Definitely a turning point, because prior to that we had been dire, and looked every inch a relegation candidate. We ended up fourth and nearly got into the Premier League.

The rallying cry in full, here.

On a serious note. We named our dog Vince, and i still have a picture of the big man (not the dog) in my kitchen. And my mum used to fancy him
