Stat from last season were kidding themselves. We were wank at the back last season and we're fucking even more wank at the back now. The Wollscheid decision now looking like the fucking idiocy most sane people said at the time.
A few nice things on the attack second half but another appalling day at the office that might have required brackets on the old videprinter!
We might hammer someone this season but we could have no arguments with 25 goals in the against column after 5 games this season in reality.
Worrying.

It's an argument I never got as we were clearly making way more individual errors and couldn't defend a set piece to save our lives.

It was never 'it's either Huth or Wolly'
I can see what Sparky was trying to do with letting Huth go but the Wolly decision is pure madness
Might as well have spent the 3.5 million on rooney's latex clad favourite granny !!
utterly insane decision.
With Wolly's 3.5 mill and Joselu's 5.5 mill we could have got ourselves a mint of a CB or CM

ripped apart at will today. Before people say it was Arsenal, they have not scored at home. However, swap Arsenal for Norwich and they did the same
Very worrying indeed

It's just always seems to be individual errors. Pathetic displays this season. We will improve though.

Lies lies and damn statistics the argument about our defence last season being good was always suspect , To cope minus the two players we lost with no decent replacements was a huge risk that we now have to find a way to manage whilst winning games ,

I still think our attack is a bigger problem than our defence and that is saying something.
Still waiting for our first goal from open play with a shot (not a header) since the late, great Steven N'Zonzi back last May.

I think once Hughes stops fucking about with the slow sideways game we have the talent to create chances if he carries on like the first 20 mins v West Brom then it's going to be a very long season but we have the players to get decent crosses and through balls into the forwards once Hughes demands a much higher tempo . Defensive side looks a much harder problem to me to sort until Ryan returns

I'd start Wolly next game. Not sure I would against either Leicester or Bournemouth. I like Wollscheid but both of these teams have pace to waste. I'd pick Wollschied against teams that have big men up front with little pace.

No but I think Wolly deserves a chance. He's 5th choice mate and unless we get injuries i just can't see it happening unless he pairs him with Wilson like last season.

How is he the scapegoat?, people are simply pointing out that the man who signed him and sold Huth just after has not got the faith to play him, most pointless brainless signing of the season followed by VG, Affelay and Joselu, he has changed the formation to fit players in it has not worked. If he has the guts he has to play Wolly against Leicester to prove against the team containing Huth why he signed him over keeping a fit Robert Huth, if not explanations are required.

He's a scapegoat because he's being slagged off in numerous threads and he hasn't even played. Mainly because we have fans lien you, you're fucking obsessed, move on. Leicester had conceded the exact same amount of goals as us today even though they have the collosus Huth and were left with a shambles of a defence with a useless manager. We'll see how brainless Hughes is after 38 games, not 6. I'm willing to put my faith in him after 2 top 10 finishes whilst breaking all sorts of records. It actually seems like the squad have far more backbone than our supporters (not surprising after all it's the same ones constantly being proved wrong the past 2 seasons) do judging by the complete over reaction on here.

We will see when we play Leicester who is in the starting line up, if and it is a big if given Hughes reluctance to start with Wolfy even though he is a dedicated CB, it will give us a genuine reason to see why he chose to sign Wolfy and sell a fit Huth that fair enough for you is it ?, by the way what is a fans lien never heard that one before.

Is that what you were thinking , do not be so hard on yourself I suspect a few would have had that thought maybe even MH, fact is he seems very reluctant to play our German replacement which is the biggest mystery and frankly mind boggling when we are playing utility players in his natural position very odd, have you any explanations you can think of ?
