The most boring twat ever to sit on the other end of a microphone, says everything everyone else knew ten minutes earlier. Gouranga.

Further proof that ex players are very, very, often not the best pundits (or managers come to that).

You still have the feeling he might say something really weird if you got stuck alone in a lift with him

I'll see your Glen Hoddle and raise you a Michael Owen Sent from my HTC One_M8 using proboards Could you imagine if the commentator got caught in traffic and Michael Owen and Glen Hoddle had to do the commentary alone. Michael "it's been a good game so far" Glen "yeah it's been good" Michael "Rooney has played well" Glen "he has" Michael "England look good" Glen "yeah" Michael "but not too good" Glen "no" Michael "what do you think of Rooney" Glen "he's a good player" Michael "is that it Glen?" Glen "yeah" Michael "Cheers Glen" Glen "no problem"

I'm not convinced he is a better manager but he was a reasonable England manager. Then again he had better players. And still probably should've done better than he did.

I thought Hoddle said some insightful things last night about the players and how the play was going. Like Hughes he knows his stuff but can make it as interesting to listen to as a gardener going on about his tulips. Can you imagine a chat between the pair of them zzzzzzzzzz The guy believes that handicapped children were criminals in a previous life. Boring ? I've had duller conversations round the dinner table I must admit.

Punditry, commentary and co-commentary should be completely removed.
90 minutes of the game with crowd noise and that's it.
They can stick 15 mins of adverts on at half-time if they wish.

It's quite a tough gig being the co-commentator in these days of twitter and newspaper columns micro-analysing them. Can't remember the last one who was well received.
Personally, I didn't mind Townsend.

I find Glen Hoddle talks a lot of sense.Thierry is the guy who disappoints me, fantastic player but so far very poor,he never seems to say a great deal and I find it difficult to understand what he says.Hopefully he will improve .

I still think glenn hoddle is a better manager than woy and to be honest he does not bother me, i would rather have him than andy fucking townsend. He was a far better manager, but he also had far better players. If you took our entire current team and compare it to the team Hoddle had, I'm not sure many out of our current crop of 11 would even make the bench. Maybe Rooney would. None of them would make the starting 11 though. Who would you drop? Alan Shearer? Tony Adams? Gary Neville? Michael Owen? I don't like Woy at all, shite manager. Hoddle was definitely better, but he also had a far better squad of players.

Hoddle was probably a better England manager. Overall as a manager his career isn't a patch on Hodgson's.
