Just looked at the score and saw they were running a poll on the greatest ever welsh player and saw bale was well in front? Is it just me or would anyone else put john charles and ryan giggs in front of him?

I voted before I saw the results and put John Charles as number 1. In his prime he could have got into most of the top 10 international sides at either centre forward or centre half. I saw him live once - a magnificent player who would be in my top British 11 of all time.

His stats dominate giggs already and only halfway through his career. Dont know about Charles or Berry

Who could ever ignore or forget Ivor Allchurch, John's brother Mel Charles, or Mel Nurse and, of course, there's Leighton James and little Brian Flynn and keeper Gareth Sprake but more importantly, the one and only John Mahoney.

He signed a copy of his autobiography for me.

Just looked at the score and saw they were running a poll on the greatest ever welsh player and saw bale was well in front? Is it just me or would anyone else put john charles and ryan giggs in front of him? Very difficult to vote for a greatest 'player' as this implies outstanding ability in all positions - this leaves Charles as the most likely player to match the criteria. Easier to vote for greatest keeper/defender/forward in which case Allchurch and Ford also come into contention. Of course, past players get fewer votes as there are fewer of us 'veterans' left to remember them

Giggs is lacking in that respect.
