You may be surprised to learn that Gislason sadly died from cancer a few years ago. I remember Gavin Ward giving him a clip around the ear at Colchester once!

Andy Griffin, John Eustace, Clint Hill, Adam Rooney, Jon "Pork Pie" Parkin, Marco Gabbiadini, Danny Pugh, Michael Tonge, Tom Soares, Danny Collins, Louis Moult, John Carew, Jonathan Woodgate. You're having a laugh with those first three players. Definitely not forgotten Stoke players, unless you latched onto the club after 2008. I am lol I think the pork pie is enough give away...

You may be surprised to learn that Gislason sadly died from cancer a few years ago. I remember Gavin Ward giving him a clip around the ear at Colchester once! As I was typing his name I did recall the thread about him sadly passing. Wasn't there a charity game played during his illness that involved Bjarni, Gudjon and possibly one or two others with stoke connections?

I don't recall a charity match to be honest, LGH87, but having a quick search you are right! He played 12 games for Stoke.

Or was that someone else? That's him. He was with Charlton at Sheffield Wednesday as well. Notoriously fell out(ahem!!) with Calvin Palmer and the incident eventually did for both of them at Stoke. He apologised to Waddo but Palmer felt aggrieved as the innocent party and didn't. Setters got to go to America with the Cleveland Stokers and Palmer stayed here but Setter's card was marked from then on. Calvin was a popular lad. A hard man in his own right. I think both were gone by the start of the next season and Waddo signed Willie Stevenson.

Andy Cooke Demar Phillips Jurgen van Durzen (his wife was my dentist) Michel Hansen Marc Goodfellow
Kevin Harper was a jaw dropping one for me. Those horrible red boots and his shite penalties. Had massive hopes for him all the time. Another I had massive hopes, though haven't really forgot about him was Chris Greenacre. I dreamed about signing him for ages and ages, he literally scored every weekend, before he signed for us .....

Reading through those names mentioned is like reading a Who's who of shit footballers. Some eminent, some infamous and some quite famous names in there too. Surely no one will have forgotten Frankie Soo?

Surely no one will have forgotten Frankie Soo? Frankie Soo was my maternal grandfathers favourite Stoke player. He used to travel all over the country in the 30's/40's on his motorcycle watching Stoke. Unfortunately I never met him, he died before I was born.
