Desperate for him back, but it would be suicide to rush him back before he is ready.

Shawcross got on & off a bike quick enough for a photo up hanley just, for the start of the tour of Britain stage. He was walking round ok, not walking like an 80 year man, which was what I was expecting with his back injury.

Ryan was kind enough to have a photo with my son at the Tour Of Britain start up Hanley earlier today and when I asked him about his return he said he would be back in around a months time and said rehabilitation is going well.
I might add Ryan seemed a very genuine guy and didn't mind holding other peoples kids for photos even cooing over them etc was lovely to see. What a captain we have!

We will so need him for that one Bournemouth are fast and move the ball around impressively in the last third. It needs strong dynamic presence in our back 4. That means we need Ryan back Our ryan always struggles against that sort of player. That's why he needs to go in hard slow them down a bit.

The fact that everyone is desperate for shawx to be back in the side suggests you haven't got a full grip on the matter! A tad patronising. I absolutely have a full grip and have posted my concerns on threads marked "get a full grip on the DM/Geoff/ MVG/Jedinak/etc" threads. But let's start another anyway. It's not patronizing. I was just stating the bleeding obvious as you seemed to have missed it.

Back into full training maybe then in 4-6 weeks time.
He won't be able to slot back in for a while imo and just as he will be desperate to play (as is Bojan) Hughes and co are most unlikely to take any risks.
He may well play in the U21s to start with

I'm kind of guessing from what I've read that he'll back in full training and ready for game time in a month.

Once Ryan's fully fit and ready he'll transform us and has been a massive loss this season.
In the meantime, we have to support those deputising 100% and cut out all the crap about Wollscheid this, Cameron that, etc.
Come back soon, skipper...

After all the posts on Oatcake I fully expect that when Ryan gets his comeback he will appear in a blue and red strip with a giant "S" on his chest! S for Shawcross of course!

I'd expect him to just say he's a big player and a big loss, leave out the OK part, as defensively it's not true
