I hear they taste better with a bit of Reggae Reggae sauce Cock au vin? There is a get-out. If I was Gods I'd smugly retort: "I said I'd eat my cock, and I will. Feathered variety, get the rooster on the chopping block." Winner winner chicken dinner. That is going to have to me my get out of jail on this one

Hopefully he's back and even better than before, he's said this issue has plagued him since his teenage years but they'd managed it up until a point last season where he went sliding in and felt it go
I'll be happy to have Shawcross back, but to have him back with absolutely no niggles would be amazing

It does perhaps show that the club knew what they were doing in not spunking millions on a Ryan replacement when Ryan is likely to be back shortly. But then again, maybe we should actually believe the club aren't completely incompetent in everything they do and that Benji and co do have the slightest tendency to spout rubbish once in a while? Once in a while? Every fucking day more like

Don't know why he is named in the squad at the moment Possibly because he's expected to back playing before too long

Don't know why he is named in the squad at the moment Because only an idiot wouldn't name him and Mark Hughes isn't an idiot.

Thats not so idiotic is it If it was November then yes, but he's likely to be fit mid October and probably looking to feature at the end of October, Seems like the right decision to me.

Thats not so idiotic is it It would be completely idiotic if the prognosis was that he had a decent chance of being ready to start in October and the prognosis turns out to be correct. I can't think of anything more dispiriting for both Ryan and the club than for him to be fit and ready to play and be forced to wait until January to do so. Note: You need a ' in that's by the way.

Realistically, he may well be back by the start of December - with at least 5 games in that month, why would we not name him in the squad? He is our skipper, lynchpin of our defence, we need him back as soon as he is fit. Instead we could have named odd man out Johnny Tex.......... *facepalm*

Knowing Ryan he will be back for the Bournemouth game We will so need him for that one Bournemouth are fast and move the ball around impressively in the last third. It needs strong dynamic presence in our back 4. That means we need Ryan back

Yeah, I can't believe that Hughes has named Ryan in the squad and deprived us of the services of Tex.

I'd like to see Geoff moved into centre midfield role when Ryan gets back. I think he's our best option to fill that position we are struggling with at the moment.

Firstly, none of us are consultant back surgeons or specialist back physios (apologies if you are) so we have no idea where Ryan is in his recovery. Pointless speculating. He will be ready when he is ready and once he starts full training again, and we will know because of our resident stalkers, then we'll have more of an idea. Ryan being named in the 25 man squad is a non-issue given the only player to miss out is Tex. He's got as much chance of making the team or the bench as I have! It leaves the door open and provides encouragement for Ryan.
Finally, this thread has nothing to do with Geoff or DM!

Finally, this thread has nothing to do with Geoff or DM! The fact that everyone is desperate for shawx to be back in the side suggests you haven't got a full grip on the matter! A tad patronising. I absolutely have a full grip and have posted my concerns on threads marked "get a full grip on the DM/Geoff/ MVG/Jedinak/etc" threads. But let's start another anyway.

That's a bit concerning. I'm on record on here as saying I'd eat my own cock if he started another Prem game before 2016 Well go to a farmer buy yourself a cock and then after some time eat it anyway whether ryan plays in 2015 or not ????

Seen him this morning at the cycling in Hanley. Walking about and looked absolutely fine. Of course there's no way of knowing how he's gonna react to training and 90 mins of football but it was good to see him looking well
