Has Vidic been a disaster in Italy then? pretty much but not many inter players have impressed under Mancini. even kovacic looked average but he still secured a move to real Madrid!

I just can't see it, wages I know we've got loads of barca players but I can't see us getting that calibre of player. More then happy to be proved wrong though! ok thanks. you could have said that on the 1st reply and saved me 5mins of trying to correct my terrible use of a smart phone on forums! puyol has been clubless for 12 months though do I don't think his calibre matters anymore. 1 season could be special with him though I'll bare that in mind next time I quote you!! If he's been clueless for 12 months of also worry about his fitness then although great to have around.

Vidic has been injury prone since the dawn of time, would be a great piece of business if we could keep him fit I'm not sure he's what we need ATM.

From what I read the other week Vidic has been ruled out for the next three to six months after a back operation on a slipped disc? ------------ www.goal.com/en/news/10/italy/2015/08/05/14175722/inter-defender-vidic-undergoes-surgery www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/inter-milan/injury-news/news/nemanja-vidic-undergoes-back-surgery_237377.htmlAug 5, 2015 11:13:58 The former Manchester United centre-back has had a successful operation on a slipped disc, but could reportedly be out for between three to six months Inter centre-back Nemanja Vidic has undergone surgery for a slipped disc, and could reportedly be out for three to six months. Vidic, 33, joined the Nerazzurri after his Manchester United contract expired in 2014 having won five Premier League titles and the Champions League at Old Trafford. The former Serbia international underwent surgery in Pavia on Wednesday morning, with Sky and Corriere dello Sport previously reporting that the centre-back could be out for the rest of 2015 as a result.

Stupid guess but Aleix Vidal on loan as he can't play until Jan 16 because of the Barca transfer embargo or someone similar from there who needs game time

An older injury prone player is not in any way a shrewd signing Would that rule out a return for Robert Huth then

What about Yarmolenko at a cut price, and loan him back to let him play CL?

Daniel Agger? The kind of central defender that Huges loves! Just a wild guess, he'll be 31 in December by the way.

If Walters is off, you'd assume it's a winger.
Or De Guzman perhaps.

Probably Samba then?
Nixon follows Blackburn closely and probably rates him from years ago?

Personally, I think De Guzman could be classed as shrewd. Cracking footballer. Apparently Bournemouth's deal was a 700k loan fee, with the option to buy for £3.5m at the end of it.
Has anyone found out where he's disappeared to yet?

Isn't the key here what he means by "shrewdest signing of the season".
Does he mean shrewdest for us, or the shrewdest signing of the window (all clubs). If it's the second this is going to be BIG.

I'd suggest De Guzman or Samba, but that is a total guess. No contacts I have know a name at all. This really is a mystery player.
