just seen his goal on premiership that was disallowed, worst decision i have seen in ages, suppose he made up for it with the quality free-kick that wasnt disallowed

yeah i think i might put a few quid on them remaining unbeaten, i was considering it earlier on in the season, i can remeber at one point being able to get 7-1 and prob a lot longer odds than that

Can't see them winning the treble. Must have been a fix that draw, cause they don't like England. Arsenal Chelski and the winner v Madrid. Too obvious ???

Real Madrids defence could prove their undoing. Monaco are good attacking and will make problems for them.

Perhaps it should have been allowed technically looking at the rules of the game, but if that is legal, then it shouldn't be.
It's not football played in the sporting manner that it should be played. He didn't do anything that actually deserved a goal through skillful play, he just kicked the ball out of the keepers hands.
What's more, not everyone is as skillful as Henry, and if that sort of play is encouraged, someone's leg is going to get broken.

If we did staffs we'd do well against Reading or Coventry but as soon as we get that League Cup game away to Milan or Benfica we'd struggle!! ;D

maucek, he didn't kick the ball out of the keeper's hands, the ball had already been released, the ball was in play and Henry didn't dangerously win it either. Should have been allowed, and if you think it is not skillful play, would you begrudge Oulare's deflected 'arse goal'........ i think not

The ref was right to disallow it.
It was dangerous play and unsporting behaviour.

Dangerous my arse, this is football not knitting. Unsporting yes; very. If that kind of thing would be allowed, a goalkeeper would no longer be able to kick out of their hands would they? Time for a slight rule change to say that a 'keeper is still in control of the ball between it leaving his hands and him kicking it (in that situation). Another thing. When Dion Dublin and Robbie Keane have done the old trick of going off behind the goal, waiting until the keeper has thrown the ball on the floor, and then dashed around and scored, why have the goals stood?! Staying off the field of play in order to gain an advantage isn't allowed is it? And you are meant to ask the referee's permission before coming back on if you have gone off deliberately are you not? There is clearly a loop-hole there if a players momentum takes him off the pitch, and also goalkeepers shouldn't be so stupid, but how unsporting is that?!

If you go off the field of play, you should not be allowed back on until a set piece (eg throw in, goal kick, free kick, peno etc)

The Ref was quite right NOT to allow that goal (cor I sound like Rex!). Keepers have 6 seconds to release the ball, if players are allowed to baulk their kicks it will be mayhem, and DaveF is right, somebody will get hurt! OK the ball was not in his hands, how else is he going to kick it ???. If he had rolled it out it would have been a totally different matter. Same applies to AA at Reading - both Ade & Henry were lucky npot to get yellow cards, harsh as that might have been.

If that was in reference to what i said, i meant when players go off the pitch (out of the boundary of play)
That is the bit about 'had he rolled it in front of himself'

Ok Junior remember this bit to tell your boy.
Law 12. An indirect free kcik is also awarded to the opposing team if a player, in the opinion of the referee:
Plays in a dangerous manner
Impedes the progress of an opponent
;D
Waits patiently for the shit to hit the fan

By kicking the ball away as the keeper was releasing the ball from his hands is in fact Impeding the goalkeeper is it not?
