lost then had to play the winning team on the last game of the season who needed a win to get into Europe. We were mathematically safe. Would we purposely lose to get into Europe ourselves?

Depends on how we were doing in the League. If we struggled and scraped 17th with a couple of games left then it wouldn't be worth the pressure for the following season, but it we were comfortably around tenth then I'd like to think another European adventure would be worth the three points.

Didn't this already happen, or was it just a Bobby Ewing in the shower moment.

If so then no I'm going off the old rule. That means we'd need to qualify. Why wouldn't you want to go straight through?

Hypothetically speaking though couldn't we just go straight into the groups?
In that case yes!

Hypothetically…if I forced my penis into an angry wasps nest, how swollen would it become before imploding like a neutron star?

what a truly bizarre thread
"If the rules were completely different and the situation was completely different to what it all is now, then would we do x?"
sod this, i'm going to start a "If Stoke could enter the World Cup and were allowed to field 20 players instead of 11, but it would mean all the fans having to sleep with Katie Hopkins first, then do you think we all would?" thread

Why wouldn't you want to go straight through? ok, apologies, i see your point. In this scenario, if we could go through straight to final himself without playing qualifiers = Yes If we had to play on Thurday =nO (although not sure how to avoid him) If we had to qualify = No If we (in this scenario) can loan players from Championship (ie Ryan Shotton, John Brayford) just to play in the Europa then Yes (not sure this would be allowed) if it was guaranteed to be on TV (Channel 5?) = possibly but not sure I think they have changed the rules on the FA Cup final rule though

All depends on who we hypothetically lose to on last day Charlton Athletic = Yes Charlton Athlectic managed by Tony Pulis = no Arsenal managed by anybody (but especially Arsene Wenger or Tony Pulis or Daniel Higginbotham) NO generally i dont advocate losing on purpose to anybody or advocate Hopkins on any level hypothetically speaking
