How good would we be with a goal scorer Said the same today, Mame just looks out of sorts! One pacey skillful striker and we will be one hell of a team! Jordan Rhodes not a sexy name but he knows where the goal is

Maybe that's what we need, I have a funny feeling we will go all out for a top notch striker in Jan!

I would be delighted but I watch this team in the flesh every home game and perhaps 1/3 away and there is not a chance it will finish anywhere near Europe without the material net investment hinted at in the summer and more recently . You don't get into Europe winnkn three home games I the first half of a season in fact if you don't improve you struggle to get to 40 and k still believe that's our only challenge this season . you keep talking about net investment but it remains nonsense. All that matters is wage bill, 90% of the difference in points between teams is explained by differences in wage bills. As today showed, all net investment shows is how bad teams are at wasting money in the transfer market. Depay or Afelllay, Blind or Pieters, Johnson or Ashley Young. Net spend says you take the United three, anyone with a basic knowledge of football knwos the correct answer is the other 3. WE have wisely spend our money on wages and hence have a strong squad that will come into its own in the second half of the season. We had Crouch, Muniesa, Ireland and Given out today yet our bench was incrediblys throng with 6 outfield internationals. Results, data and the table show how wrong you are on every front…again

As it stands, Moses wouldn't get in this side.
He'd be a good option off the bench, but he's not in the same league as the lads we have in there now (given Arnie's form right now).

Notice none of those who so passionately bring this one up did so today funny that. - 3 Home league wins all season CHECK- still conceding from set pieces 2 today again CHECK- lowest scorers bar villa 14 all season not this month all season CHECK- lower than last years finish CHECK- passed by leciester , West Ham Everton palace who all finished below us but out invested us OK, we still got to get Leicester and Palace - half CHECK- 12m star player hasn't scored all season CHECK- Arnie now a regular when he couldn't get in the team last season CHECK- still missing Cameron when he isn't in midfield CHECKNow to be balanced we have improved since the start and have had some decent results but the truth is we are worse off than we finished last season , we can't score for love nor money and this gibberish of Top 6 , next level , 60 points can be put to bed. 40 points is only worthwhile immediate target and if we only win three more home games this season in th second half that still requires some special results away at a time I the season when they become harder to get . So surely now you MUST be feeling just a tiny bit happier?

Go I hate to piss on your fire But We still are below West Ham , Leicester and palace , we do miss Cameron if he doesn't play as the last two games have proven indeed our best performances are when he is I midfield . We are now the same as where we finished last year but if Liverpool win when the fixtures are competed we will be below .
However I do agree and am delighted the last few weeks have seen a remarkable improvement . We look to have a settles team and fornation and strong Bench i still do believe now is the time to invest In January .

Gravity corocodile my arse
The only brutal truth is the below passed from the BBC report of today's game
Stoke have conceded 19 goals this season, only four sides have leaked less. Stoke are four points better off than at the halfway stage last season.
This bloody obsession with "net spend" is laughable. Garth Crookes reckons this is the mos t exciting Stoke side in 40 years & and I can't disagree.
I visited a Spurs supporting mate this afternoon who is not looking forward to playing us at all.
Gravity Crocodile???? Fucking pathetic

In Glen Johnson, Arnie, Bojan and Ibrahim Afellay we have four of the most inform players in the league and they've cost us naff all.

I think we should all be obsessed with the 'net spend'.
The media is going into overdrive with superlatives lauding Mark Hughes at the moment but none of them seem to be mentioning how little he's spent whilst achieving our transformation.
It's almost like none of them have even realised ...
It's bordering on the realms of fantasy, what he's actually achieving having spent so little, it's a bit of a Premiership miracle actually.

Shaqirir and Arnie would be well ahead of Moses in the pecking order on current form that's a given.
BB is right that he would improve the squad though, he'd be a great option off the bench against tired legs.
I don't see how that particular comment can be taken in such a bad way.

Yep I did not know the West Ham result when I posted so I'll give you that, (for now - I bet it won't be for long), but Cameron? C'mon, he has become a key member of our team! If you take a regular first-teamer out of any non-big six club, of course they will miss him. Are you truly unhappy that GCam has developed into a better player?

Moses of last season was ahead of Arnie last season. The fact that the Arnie this season is better than Moses is down to Arnie himself. Moses, as a man who can play wide right and left, would be an excellent option from the bench and a squad rotation point of view.

Gods fire aim ready again
If you check I've been Cameron's biggest advocate since August and said then and hold to it now he was the plan in that role when Nzozni left hence his new contract last year . He is a brilliant athlete and can do at lest two more years in there and will become the next whelan . Expect us to buy a midfielder In jan or summer to give us two options .
