He was given the ovation for his service to Stoke City which ended over two years ago with his removal as manager. Despite receiving a fair amount of abuse over the last two years he has kept a dignified silence only broken by praise for Stoke, Peter Coates and most of the fans. Tony Pulis must have dreamt about his return to the Brit and you can imagine it must have been an emotional afternoon for him, above all he would be desperate to win and he did, if in a fortunate manner. As he said in his interview he was paid by Stoke to do a job and he did it, now he is paid by West Brom and he has to do a job for them, defeat on Saturday might even have cost him his job, I'm afraid Pugs it's you that doesn't get it. What abuse ?. He did not keep a dignified silence, sly digs at Hughes and his staff, trying to claim Stoke, s recent success having a dig at our players on MOTD. His behaviour on Saturday was terrible, no manners, Pardew wouldn't stoop that low.

Yeh ...he did come out of the tunnel when our record signing was announced ...???? You couldn't make it up. Why did he come out on his own then ?......why did he wait 3-4 mins after the teams came out before he made his appearance ?....Mark Hughes had managed it ..... And yeah he did coincide it for all the above reasons He's that far up his own arse it's beyond belief as everything is about him . He's always done that. He was emotional on his first return. He didn't cover himself with glory I admit but you ask ex-players about playing against their former clubs...the intensity is cranked up and they try a little bit too hard.

The reason Dullis won't acknowledge the job MH has done in the last two years is because MH has, with a fraction of the money made available to the previous incumbent, put together an entertaining side that Stoke fans don't need six pints of Stella to watch anymore. His replacement has managed to get higher league finishes and is able to attract players from the likes of Barcelona rather than Sunderland's reserves. And this reinforces Pulis' own limitations as a manager. Pulis must feel like he turned up at his ex's house to find her moved on and happier with her new beau, so he decided to be spiteful and break a couple of windows.
Saturday was frustrating but the consolation that we don't have to watch that shite every week softened the blow. Yes, they won (hung on against 9-men) but I know which team have the better manager and brighter future, and I suspect the West Brom fans think the same.
Even Crystal Palace have upped the ante since Pulis left. We're not unique.

I would wager his actions on and prior to Saturday were premeditated, very little to do with emotion he is a nasty calculating cunt, he will do anything to get his own way we all know that, when he does not he throws his toys out of the pram it is in his make up.

Spats between managers have always gone on lastoftheldk.
Mourinho/Wenger Ferguson/Wenger Benitez/Mourinho Redknapp/Hughes
There are many more examples, these petty arguments are largely wind ups and simply part of the game. Regarding Saturday I have no idea what was going on but if Pulis gestured to the crowd after the Albion goal that would be a silly thing to do.
Losing your job in any walk of life is traumatic and for certain Tony Pulis would feel some bitterness, generally though he's acted pretty well and how great and dignified it would if we all behaved like Peter Coates.

Surely we can all agree that the fans of Brazil who travel to watch their team play away deserve our understanding and sympathy.
I watched that shite for 10 years and have yet to fully recover.
I aggresively defended the football we played away from home while TP was in charge ( no one slags my club) but the very act made me feel dirty and hypocritical.
Wasting time for 45 mins when playing against 9. The second striker (Lambert) playing 40 yards deeper than than the no.9, sly tugs to kill momentum, pretending to have cramp, hoof, hoof and a total inablity to pass to some one else in the same shirt all against 9.
Christ I deserve a medal for watching that in away game after away game.
The arse of the Brazillian's away support seems to have dropped out already. Couldn't even sell their tickets. Have you ever seen a less triumphant, joyous, euphoric appreciation of an way win against a main rival and long-standing bogey team?
It hurt to lose on Saturday; but I think it hurt alot of Brazillians too.
I rarely feel sorry for fans of other clubs but I know what the samba boys have got to look forward to and (call me soft) a tiny part of me does go out to them.

Every fan is entitled to voice their opinion about the style of play under Tony Pulis, but in my view what isn't acceptable is personal attacks on his character on what is a Stoke City supporters message board.

It's thanks to Pulis that referees approach any Stoke game with their minds already made up.

Get thesen onto One Vale Fan you are after all a Vale supporter they are always so respectful as I am sure you are aware. , the way Pulis behaved prior to and at the match on Saturday proves his character flaws, he behaved like a classless spoilt ungrateful chav, he should have been sent to the stands for consistently leaving his technical area and crowd incitement, the officials were weak he needed to be dealt with but was left to it.

I applauded him when he came out as most did as a mark of respect which you would have thought would have been returned but it wasn't. I'd be pretty sure few felt like applauding him off at the end , including the WBA supporters!

You make it sound more appealing than it actually was. Just because you like Stoke, it doesn't mean that WBA have to, surely. There's a certain level where that match was treated as a bit of a write-off after Stoke were down to 9 men and down by a goal, Stoke fans are seemingly the ones who differ with this, but realistically much of the match after that was relatively uneventful and they could probably take the win for granted. Like, there's a certain level where a 4-0 victory against an opposition down to 9 men would still feel quite hollow. It must have hurt some West Brazilians when Stoke lost on Saturday, apparently.

If it's not acceptable then don't accept it, fuck off somewhere else, if you look near the top of the page there's a drop down menu entitled 'click here for other messageboards' you can use this to get to the West Brom board, I doubt you'll be missed. Bye.
