This board looks short of a music thread to me!
How about some Rock Steady/BlueBeat/Ska/Reggae etc.? Sixties, 70's 2Tone or later, or whatever you like.
That thread about the Vic on the footie board has made me nostalgic for th'owd dees and this music was the soundtrack to my early years at the Vic!

It's a toss up for me whether that beats the Mac version. What do you think? All that Santana stuff, though terminally unhip today, sounds good to me. Samba pa ti, Jingo etc.

You conna compare Fleetwood Mac to Santana, man. The Mac only ever did two good tunes.... One was this (Best version of it I can find, but still nowhere near as good as the version I've got on CD somewhere) And then this... But even this was a complete bag of wank untill the 3 minute mark when it completely changes. (All the live versions were terrible so had to settle for studio)

Heh heh, Given the grief I got off chaps like these for my long hair and Van der Graaf Generator..ish ways at the time, I suppose my love of this music is a bit perverse. Still, it gave us something to chat about between beatings!
And it made a man of me as per...

You conna compare Fleetwood Mac to Santana, man. The Mac only ever did two good tunes.... Heresy! You young iconoclast you!! Expect a visit from the Green Manalishi at the next full moon. I've still got my trenchcoat you know. I'll come and camp outside your front door and your lawn will die!
Granted, Santana's music is infinitely preferable to the late pop-rock FM of which you have provided example. However I suggest you direct your ears to 1968's album Fleetwood Mac and the sublime follow up Mr. Wonderful when Peter Green and Jeremy Spencer fronted the band. Or, in précis, 1970's Greatest Hits album which features the original Black Magic Woman. Consider yourself chastised sir!
Harumph!
Anyway, if you like Carlos Santana's guitar work or have any interest in 70's spirituality check out his work with John McLaughlin. If you like a good tune don't bother though.
Meanwhile this chap has something important to say...

One of the few positives from the '80s.
Right, I'm off west in my tent as the weather seems to have settled down. Have a good weekend.

It's not particularly becoming to do another Gent's cut 'n'pasting, but as it's Hopeton Brown, The Scientist, here goes. Loved 'Scientist Rids the Evil Curse' and 'Scientist Wins the World Cup'.. early 80's quirky heavy dub with Marvel/Parliament-like cartoon covers. He took on '...Pac Man' and all kinds of folk with his Dub...
'Heavyweight Dub Champion of the World'. In his head{phones}. Cheers for the reminder. Mint.
LKJ in Dub needs a mention.

Bit of a revelation for me this! Thanks! You learn something new everyday. Instantly took me back to late seventies sound systems on hot August city evenings!
Thanks!
