I was impressed with him on Saturday.
He covered more ground than any of our other players. Can't fault his fitness, skill or experience. A bit more upper body strength and we could have another Bojan.

Thought he looked lost in the middle and much better when out wide.

Even more interestingly, in the little poll at the bottom 66% think we will finish in a European spot

Perhaps someone should make sure that Yarmo sees the article.

That's rubbish,we're still a bunch of cloggers, you only have to read the comments from foreign based Arsenal fans to know that

The Daily Mail is carrying a very similar interview today. There is no doubt that this summer's signings have captured the imagination of the media. Let's hope that our style of play and the results live up to the hype, and that increased demand for tickets finally makes an unanswerable case for expansion of the Brit next summer. Better Late than never, eh, Sheikhy?

Thought he looked lost in the middle and much better when out wide. I thought thr opposite! He doesn't have the pace out wide to go past his man and never beat Clyne once when against him in the first game! I think he looks a number 10!

"A throw-in was like a corner-kick. The ball came into the box and then - fight!" Don't go all wenger on us ibrahim. Made me laugh that. The perception of our in yer face seige mentality.

I said it last week and it was the same this week Chelsea were launching long throw ins into the box at every given opportunity.

Once he is fully match fit, I am hoping that he also has the engine to play the N'Zonzi role - he looks perhaps better suited to it than Van Ginkel. There were a few incidents in the second half on Sunday when he started to look as though the ball might stick to him like it did to the Fonz. He does share the Fonz's ability to look as though he has plenty of time.

He cant replace Whelan as the holding midfielder but he COULD be that Fonz replacement.
I would expect to see van Ginkel dropped and Afellay given a run in that position.
He needs to be in the final 3rd though because he does have a trick or two to beat a man and he has an excellent shot on him

Made me laugh as well pretty good assessment of our game plan in those days !! There's definitely a sea change at Stoke just now. The whole mood has changed, you could just feel it at White Hart Lane Saturday with the non-stop support even when we were two down. Really exciting times these

I wonder how many Stoke games he saw between 2008 and 2013. I'd like to know what he thinks about Liam Lawrence's dog, towelgate and his favourite Wilko tackle.

Great line - made me strangely proud of the first season after promotion. I loved Barney Ronay's description of a Stoke corner in the Guardian which is along the same theme: And yet at times in the flesh Stoke could generate perhaps the most boisterously entertaining atmosphere in the Premier League, all geared towards the rare spectacle of the trademark Stoke goal scramble, a battlefield scene of tumbling bodies, butchered Orcs, air-hoof clearances, shrieks, roars, and the bundling in of the ball via some heroically extended earlobe, all set to a rising tide of delayed hysteria And on his purchase of Tuncay, this one made me laugh the most, but in a good way! Even as the good times began to roll Pulis felt the need to go out and sign the Turkey midfielder Tuncay Sanli in much the same way a socially aspirational 18th-century farmer might have imported at vast expense a clankingly useless Austrian harpsichord that nobody within 300 miles can play and which ends up being used to prop open the parlour door

This has the makings of an excellent piece of strategic marketing by the much maligned backroom team
1. let it be known that we are after another Barcelona 'wonderkid' who never quite made it 2. let it be known how surprised we are that he chose us over champions league football at his alma mater 3. after a couple of weeks of being here have him explain how the football style has completely changed from the days of 'hoof and hope' and is now much more suited to the up and coming big names of world football
...of course it could just be coincidence...

How many do you think he needed to see to form an opinion on a system of play even evangelists like your good self could only describe as predictable in its methods? Supplementary question. Have you issued a Fatwa on him yet?

This guy could definitely be as big a star as Bojan for us! A lot of people have been on his back after just one or two games, but we have to give him at least as much time as the little man.

Not enough pace to play wide but an attacking central midfielder with a good range of passing. Different to N'Zonzi but could be very useful when we have a front three of Arnie, Diouf and Shaq
